We have been staying here for several years, often twice a year in the spring and fall. We find this campground convenient to the National Seashore as well as the local shops that we like to visit. It is quiet and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We will continue to stay here whenever we visit Cape Cod.
We had a back-in site (#54) that was clean, level and had a concrete patio with a view of the river. The park is small but well kept and the staff is very friendly. Lots of shade trees as previously mentioned and a busy rail corridor close by which was not a problem for us. We could not get connected to Wi-Fi at our site, and this park does not have a camp store, which is why I couldn't rate it higher.
We spent a week here in early June and were very pleased. Easy access to the Military Park and home of the National Riding Stables. We took the horseback tour of the battlefield and would recommend it. Clean sites, well maintained campground, adequate camp store and friendly staff. I would stay here again.
We stayed here for a weekend to attend a family reunion so we didn't take advantage of all there was to do here, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is truly an RV resort with paved sites that are spacious. The camp store is well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our site had a water view. We would stay here again.
Its a stretch to call this an RV Resort. The sites were clean, the campground was well maintained and the teenager in the office when we checked in was cheerful and helpful. Those were the good points. The bad news became obvious the moment we checked in. We reserved a full week for 2 adjacent sites a year in advance and paid in full. Prior to our arrival, one of our sites was reassigned as a seasonal site and we were assigned another non-adjacent site without notification. The move was to a campsite that was not appropriate for the motor home in our party. The teenager in the office was not authorized to make site reassignments but gave us a corporate number to phone which we did. We ended up with a more appropriate site but still not adjacent. Next problem was no camp store to speak of. There was a cooler with some ice cream novelties but that was about it. Not exactly what I expect at an 'RV Resort'. I would stay here again for one night, or maybe a weekend, but I would not book a whole week here again.
This campground was neat and clean, the owners were friendly and we enjoyed the proximity to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. We had site 16 on the pond and it was a little difficult leveling the camper. The other pond sites looked to be more level.
This campground was neat and clean, the staff friendly and we enjoyed visiting the Herkimer Diamond Mine which you could walk to from the campground. We didn't use the bathroom facilities. The full hookup sites along the river were a little too tight for our taste. I would stay here again.
