We camped here in May 2007 and then returned in July. The sites are large and the roads are wide. Everything is well kept. The trees are young so there isn't any shade but our awning worked just fine. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. (We had a tornado warning and staff came around to let everyone know what to do and where to go.) Camp store is well stocked with a pizza/ice cream eatery. They will deliver pizza to your campsite for a $2 fee. The only thing we didn't like about this park is that all the extra things to do are way too high priced. A golf cart rents for $50 per day and row boat is $10 per hour.
This is a great park for relaxing. We go quite often as it is close to home, and an easy relaxing weekend. Not much to do but view is great. Bathrooms are always clean and the staff is friendly. Even weekends that are full stay pretty quiet (Wagon Wheel is quieter and more private).
Sites were very small. Didn't really have enough room to park the truck. Lots of drinking and loud partying going on, not our kind of crowd. Had no hot water for showers on 2nd day of reservation. Nice campstore, playground. Clean beach, nice fishing lake. Oneway roads not convenient for the way they park your rv.
