This Park is well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and we had quiet neighbors. Lots of grass, but don't leave out anything you don't want wet. They water every night. Some noise from the nearby highway, but not too bad. Lots of full time residents here, but was not a problem. I'd rate this park higher if the WiFi was decent. At $6 per night it is no bargain. This is a great park for dogs. Not overly restricted and lots of places to walk them.
Clean park, friendly staff and great dog run. We like it for it's convenience. Very busy park, so reservations are recommended, especially if you need 50 Amps, because they are limited. They call these premium sites, but we found them very narrow with little room for the table provided. We had an end unit which gave us more room. The Wi-Fi signal was very poor and unusable most of the time. The sewer connection was confusing with "do not use" written on 2 of the hook ups and the one available was difficult to reach. Actually think the 30 Amp sites provided more usable space.
Quiet park with friendly staff. Dog run was ok. We've stayed here before it was a KOA. Nothing seems to have changed except the price went up. Nice swimming pool and well maintained. The Petro travel station nearby makes it convenient for fuel. We will stay here again.
Very clean, well maintained park. Level sites mostly on cement slabs with grass in between. My dog loved the grass dog run. Wi-Fi and cable TV was good (Wi-Fi is $3 per night). Easy in and out off HWY 58 with good security. Great park. We will definitely stay here again.
Small park, but trees and shrubbery between sits give some privacy. Only 29 full hookups and park fills up most nights, so if you need a full hookup, I recommend a reservation. Gravel and dirt throughout but not too dusty. Wi-Fi was slow, but the cable TV was good although only basic channels. Lots of families, so if you want to use the pool, expect to share it with children. Overall, not a bad park for a 1 or 2 night stay. Close to freeway but not too noisy. We will stay here again.
Sites are tight, but clean and level. The 50 Amp long pull throughs are considered premium sites, other wise you can get a better rate. Several casino's within walking distance and a shuttle service to the strip also available. The pet run is small, but they are not overly strict about walking your pet around the park. The down side to this park is the Wi-Fi is much too expensive ($5.99 for 24 hours) and the cable TV faded at night. You can use you roof top antenna (digital only) for better quality. We will use this park again.
Easy in and easy out. Large pull throughs on level gravel sites. Great park for over night. Friendly staff. The Petro Travel station nearby makes it convenient to fuel and food. There are 2 clean dog runs. The only down side to this park is the constant truck noise coming from Petro's. We will certainly use this park again.
This park is ok if you just need a place to park for a couple of days. It's quiet, all the hook ups are good and Wi Fi was OK. It's also convenient to a grocery store and fuel stations. On the down side, it turns into a mud hole when it rains. The gravel has sunk into the soil in many places and you end up with mud puddles. We have a white dog and it was impossible to keep him clean and stop him from tracking dirt into the rig.
Very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the location. It is central to shopping and easy freeway drive to other points of interest. We liked the grass area next to our coach, but be prepared for the watering that takes place each night. The dog run is adequate for small dogs and there is a trail leading out of the camp ground that can be used for larger dogs. The down side for this park is the sites are close together and we experienced numerous fellow campers walking through our site to get to the pool/shower area. Also the Wi-Fi was very slow and continuously dropped the Internet. In our opinion this is the best park in the area if you want to be close to the Denver area.
This is a good park for convienence to shopping and is quiet most of the time. The Marine Air Station is nearby and occasionaly the jet noise is pretty loud. This was the off season, and very few residents were in the park. We camped here to be near Mexico for some dental work. It's an old park with very old park models and I'm sure they are full during the winter season with annual return residents. We met the owners and they were very pleasant. I'd stay here again under the same circumstances but probably not during the peak season.
This park is way over priced for the typical RV'r. The sites are located in a dust bowl. Very dirty, especially if you are traveling with pets. If you are into River Rafting, it might be justifyed for the convenience. The scenery is great, but overcrowded with people. There is a nice 10 foot wide, bike/pedestrian trail outside of the park that runs along the river, and runs for several miles. I wouldn't stay here just for that however. Use this park just for overnight if you are desperate.
This is a convenient campground right off I-70 and easy in and out. Several fast food stores within walking distance. OK for 1-3 nights, but I wouldn't recommend it for long stays. The dog run is very nasty and has probably never been sanitized. I hated taking my dog there and then back into the RV. One pleasant discovery for walking your dog is a state park trail directly across the street. I took several walks by myself also. This discovery made our stay more pleasant. The cable TV was good, but the "free WI FI" turned out to be for the first 24 hours, then you need to pay. We would stay here again but never more than 1 or 2 nights.
We stayed here as an AOR Member. Cable TV and WiFi included in the rate. Clean and spacious sites, but all gravel. Has good roads and lots of room to unhook. All sites are back in. Has a nice swimming pool. Casino's close on the Nevada side of Colorado River. Great place to stay if you like casino's or river recreation. If you have a dog, expect a little sand tracked in to the RV. We will stay here again.
This is a Western Horizon Park and we camped here as members. We stayed in a good sized, pull through with an easy walk to the river. 50 amp, WiFi, and cable TV included in the rate. Not much going on this time of year and it's very hot. We ran the AC most of the time. Park is clean, but roads are badly in need of repair. Good place to stay one or two nights.
What a jewel. This is one of the best KOA's we have stayed at. The sites are ample with grass and a table at each site. The park is very clean and attractive. Staff is very friendly and they do a good job maintaining the landscape. The park is convenient to a Wal-Mart Super Center and a very nice Super Market. Very quiet at night. We used the laundry room and it was very clean. We will certainly stay here again.
There are actually 2 Camping Resorts ran by Sam's Town. One on Boulder Highway and one on Nellis. Both are adjacent to the casino and hotel. We stayed at the one on Boulder Hwy. Check in was smooth and staff very friendly. The park was clean and had no problems with Hook ups. WiFi is an extra charge and very pricey for one day ($5.00). The cable TV was ok until night time and then we had a very marginal signal. We used our outside antenna and got a better picture from local stations. Overall not bad. We enjoyed the casino and the dining choices in the casino were good. This is a good choice if you want to get away from the strip, but still want a quality casino.
