Valley of the Rogue State Park is situated along the Rogue River just south of the town of Rogue River, Oregon. It has three main campsite sections, two that have full hook-ups, and the third that has electrical and water only. There is a dump station. The park has a well paved bike/walking path that parallels the Rogue River. Dogs are allowed on 6' leashes and there is good ranger presence along with camp hosts in every section. The showers are clean and there are laundry facilities also. Valley of the Rogue is a gem. There can be some highway noise, depending on which site you are in, but you soon discover you aren't sure if it's the highway or the River you hear. Fishing is good too ! Bass and trout are seen on the end of many a fisherman's pole !
We stayed here two nights at the beginning of our three month cross country trip. We have stayed here before and alway choose the riverfront sites which cost more but we like them. The park is always clean and quiet. We have our own satellite so TV is no issue for us. WiFi would be nice, but I just use my hotspot on my cellphone while we stay here. The location of the park right off the freeway and near Redding is convenient. We found the pool was available in the evening so I'm not sure when the one reviewer had the issue of not being able to use it after 6 pm. It was available later than 6 pm. We always look forward to staying at JGW when we pass through Redding on our way north to Oregon.
Nice newer park in town. Nice restaurant in park with happy hour drink prices. Nice staff, good sites, paper and food delivery to your rig. We stay here everytime we are heading out of state and it's a very nice park.
We stay here everytime we are in Las Vegas which is usually 4-5 times a year. The sites are tight so you will hope you have a nice neighbor. The park is nice with 24 hour security, nice pool area, convenient store, and clean restrooms and laundry facilities. The charge for WiFi is obscene and not all sites have good reception. I try to use my cell phone as modem when we are here, since the $7/day charge is out of line.
Nice new park with wide, long sites for big rigs and lots of space between sites with nicely manicured lawns. Parking spaces next to some of sites for tow vehicle. Has picnic tables at each site. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. One of the nicer new parks we have been to lately.
