Nice, little park on a beautiful, little lake. The RV sites are short, paved sites, somewhat close together, right on the small parking lot. The attendant's home is directly across the lot about 50 feet away. There is a boat launch, dining pavilion, playground, and horseshoe pit surrounding the RV sites, so you may experience people walking by and some noise depending on the day. It is a county park so people are in and out frequently. The main gate closes at sunset, and then it is VERY quiet. The tent sites are right along the lake shore. Be sure to go down past the tent sites. There is a nature trail and some replica pioneer structures. Nice place to stay 1 or 2 days.
Price is with Passport America discount. Stayed here for one night. Clean rest rooms and showers. There is a small, clean laundry (one washer; one dryer). I arrived on a Sunday and planes were taking off and landing all afternoon taking tandem sky divers up. The sky divers came right down over the campground which was fun. As another review stated it is near a railroad track but no train went through until 8:00AM. However this is a commercial area and I head clanging and banging and trucks beeping several times during the night. Would stay again.
Stayed here for 2 delightful nights. Very cool, woodsy and quiet. The park attendant was extremely friendly and helpful. Showers and restrooms were very clean. There are 9 nearby hiking trails including one exercise trail. Would stay again.
