Received a free breakfast buffet at Casino, that made the stay even better. We stayed for one night, passing through the area. We enjoyed our stay, very quiet. They had a free 24 hour shuttle to the Casino. We would stay here again, and would stay longer if we had the opportunity.
Very clean and grounds are well maintained. Lots of small wildlife. to be expected at State run facility. Sites and roads are well paved, road coming in is very curvy be prepared but worth it. would have been nice to have water at site. Staff was friendly enough. Laundry facility (1 washer and 1 dryer) was awesome to have available. Enjoyed our stay we will return.
The inside roads are not paved, just graveled. There are several wash out places along the side of road. The office is open only from 3:00 pm to 5:00pm but there is a drop box. We waited for office to open so we could get our Good Sam's discount, which they did honor. The bathhouse looked unkept. The trash was piled high and there were no shower curtains. There was either an out of order sign on the toilet stall doors or the toilet was gross. We did not use the pool but it looked clean. You can see the interstate but because of the tree line the noise is not a bother at all. There is a store near the road at the entrance and the small town is only 5 miles away. It's a nice quiet park. It's a great little get away. We enjoyed our stay and will return.
No one there, just a shed with form to fill in with our information then put into slot with payment (Cash Only). So no discounts, no one there to take it. Notice did say if you don't pay, you will be waken up in the middle of the night. But price is cheap enough. This is the only campground in Marfa. There is nothing to it, it is basically a pull off with hook-ups. Not a whole lot of room, if you are over 40' you will stick out of you spot a bit. There is a separate dumping station, if you are going through and just need a place to dump.
Park is about 7 miles from town. Stayed here one night. Had friendly owner and knowledgeable about area. Only one shower stall and the bath house is behind a bar which is next door. For the price it was tolerable for one night. We will try Lonesome Dove RV Ranch next time, they are across the road. All other RV parks were way out of town.
