After reading the reviews on this campground decided to spend the night there on way to Florida, due to some problems it was after 8 when we got there and the office was closed, we took an envelope to pay in the next morning, after wandering around in the dark we found a site, to our disappointment the Wi-Fi was non existing then after hooking up cable for the TV all we got was very snowy picture with no sound, next morning in the day light it looked as if we was in a gravel parking lot, we paid for our stay as we left but will not return.
Have traveled I-95 form Washington D.C. to Florida for 18 years, so have stayed at a lot of the Campgrounds. I would rate this one of the better ones I have stayed in for a over night stay, sites are good and level. No rolling out of bed like last night at the top of North Carolina. Good cable and did not try the Wi-Fi.
I stop at this Campground each year on my way south, this year I roll in with a tire that was shredded, on check in I ask where I could buy a tire, I was given a map and directions, Next morning I am trying to find the place and a horn blows and its the guy from the office, he says follow me, took me to the place, I thought that was very nice of him to go out of his way to do that, This Campground is located close to I-95 but not so close to where you hear any noise, it is well marked with signs for location with one on I-95 then more after you get off at the Exit, reason for the rating is so much sand but I will for sure return, staff very friendly and when needed help they was there.
Have spent the winter here last 15 years, love the way its laid out, more room here at each site then any park ever been in, laid out like a wagon wheel, with each spoke being a parking spot. Good place to bike and not be in the traffic, very cheap for south Florida. Don't know the nightly rates but $565 a month.
