Last few nights they were open for the season, so we got a great spot for a sweet rate. We wanted full hookup that night after traveling for a week without any. But we would love to have been on the creek itself. So the guy running the place gave us the space in front of the river space where no one was parked. It was like being on the river. The man spoke to us in great length about this and that. In the morning he saw us packing up to leave and ran over to tell us that Yellowstone West (our next scheduled destination) was expecting 12-24" of snow. He could have let us find that out the hard way. This place is a little strange to get to, but well worth the effort. You get off the highway go a couple miles then through a little town, then down a ways more, then a turn and down a ways again. We were a little leery of that with our novice hauling practice, but it was very easy - even for us. Well worth the extra hassle.
We made a quick one night stop that turned into two nights. It was quiet and peaceful. We weren't too sure after the drive between I-15 and the park. But it was a really sweet little park. The man there was very helpful and accommodating. We pulled in around 8pm on a Sunday and he came out all cheerful and helped us get into the space, etc... The scenery there was so pretty and it was so quiet and serene, we stayed another day. Very nice place. Not many activities or "amenities" per se, but a neat place to stop for a day or two.
Rate reflects our Good Sam Discount. This is a gorgeous park. It looks brand new. There is a patch of well maintained grass at each site. Sites are large and pull through. The pictures are exactly as they are in real life. I've found some parks have nice pictures that are 15 yrs old when you get there. This parks pics are accurate. The only bad thing is that their internet access codes change daily. It's kind of a pain, but does give you an excuse to go visit the folks in the office daily. They are very friendly and accommodating, too. Wish they were in warmer climate so we could winter over there!
Rate reflects Good Sam discount. It's very typical for the area. It's a casino. They put up electric and water (some with sewer) and call it "RV park".. (haha) They say there is a shuttle that takes you down to the strip. That's very true, but it's behind the casino, and you need to be able to walk 2 city blocks to get to it. We stayed there to take in Vegas. Nothing special, but was clean and functional. Definitely a safe area.
Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Very nice place. Mostly geared for late model Park Models. However, they do have an overflow area that holds many units. Those overflow areas do not have sewer, but do have water, cable TV, and 50amp electric. Gorgeous clubhouse with plenty of pamphlets of all the things to see and do. We stayed there as a "home base" to take in Bryce Canyon,Zion NP, and a few other things there. We found people particularly friendly, and very helpful in parking rigs and such. The overflow area where we parked is too far from the clubhouse to use any facilities, but they are there. Nice choice. Easy in and easy out. right off the freeway, and a great restaurant within walking distance. Groceries, etc are nearby as St George is a fairly nice sized town. Whatever you need is close by.
Rate reflects Good Sam disc which they gave us on the weekly rate- most don't. Pricey for the condition of the park, but about normal for the area. It's an older park, not much to look at, but it's clean and the staff is Very friendly. We ran out of propane on Sat night, and the office gal had gone back to the office late for something and just happened to be there to hear our voice mail left in desperate hope. She went to others in the park to find a spare one to bring to us to use. I call that above and beyond. We didn't use it. We have a fireplace and it wasn't that cold so we got by. But it speaks volumes of the place. It's not a "pretty" place, but safe, friendly, and accommodating.
This is probably one of the nicest parks we've stayed in. Very nice facilities, and the park like setting reflects the floral interests of the park owner. Beautiful grounds. Flowers and lawn ornaments at nearly every site. Nice little gift shop at the front desk to show local flavors. If you are into Beer, try the Kettle House Brewery "Cold Smoke" flavor. A local brewery but very nice. A lot to do within driving distance. We were there a week, and it rained everyday. I can only imagine how pretty it was in the sun!
It wasn't peak season when we were there but it's a beautiful park, quiet, and large spaces. No sewer at our lot, not sure if they have some with sewer or not. We chose this one as it was right on the water. Gorgeous park. Well maintained, quiet, and affordable. I would give it a 10 if there was Wi-Fi, cable/satellite TV, and sewer at each site, but that is not typical for any state, county, or city park.
