This park is very quiet, we were the only ones there the two days we stayed here. The entire park is very shady which helps with the heat, but leaves, limbs and sticky tree droppings fell on our truck/rv. The park is situated on the side of a hill, so the sites were not level, and all dirt and gravel. We were in site 2 which seemed more level than the others, but there were a lot of roots to contend with. The pavilion/picnic area was large and well maintained, but the sites were in desperate need of attention. It was hard to even locate the sites. We had no problems with any of the hookups. All worked good. Their website says 20 amp, but they do have 30 amp. We would not recommend this park, especially if it is raining, has rained, or looks like rain. Keep driving.
We stayed here 2 nights. The park was well maintained with large easily accessible sites. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The host, Tracee, was a true example of how a host should be. The location was just far out of town to be quiet and peaceful, yet close enough for seeing the sites of the city without much driving. We would definitely recommend this KOA Kampground.
We stayed here 3 nights. The entire park was rather shabby and un-kept. Looked like a lot of permanent residents. They caution high water pressure, but when our water would not work, the office sent help. The help was living in the site next to us. He was very nice and helpful, but his area was terrible. When we pulled in to our site, you could not step out of the drivers side without stepping on dog waste. It was all over the place. All around where we had to connect our hookups. Very stinky. The park is very cramped and in a bad neighborhood. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry and recreation area was fairly clean.
We stayed 3 nights at this park. Traveling north on I-35, there were no signs indicating where to exit. We missed the exit, and had to turn back. The driveway to the park was in disrepair with numerous pot holes. At check-in, the host was not friendly nor helpful. She did not explain any of the amenities. Only gave us a copy of the park site. The copy had been copied over and over so many times, it was illegible. Some parts were cutoff completely. The cable service was almost non-existent. The people in the site next to us walked their large sized poodle and never once cleaned up the waste, so we had to be careful where we stepped. There were children riding around the park on 4-wheelers exceeding the speed limit causing a nuisance. The recreation/laundry facility was very nice and fairly clean. We did not use the pool, but it appeared clean and well kept. The name Sundown is very appropriate. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking from the park. The location is excellent and convenient to the surrounding areas.
