This is a mountain resort that offers cabins and campsites. Most sites are for tents with no hookups. Only 6 sites have full hookups with 30 amp power. Only 2, possibly a 3rd large enough for our 36' motorhome. Made my reservation early enough to get one of them. Cabins appeared to be well maintained. Bath and toilet facilities VERY clean. Beautiful setting on the Pemigewasset River - lots of trees. Owner / managed is very friendly and accommodating. General store offers essential food items. In spite of tight space, we really like this place and enjoyed our 4 days. We will definitely return.

Family owned and operated; very friendly and helpful. Has a pool and a reasonably well stocked store. Sites & interior roads are gravel but in very good condition. Power was strong & consistent. Sites are level. Excellent ice cream bar. One of the best maintained c/g we have been in recently. This was an overnight stop but would make a good "base camp" for a several day stay to explore the area.

This park is part of the Dixie Caverns attraction. Clean and tidy but old. First site assigned had a faulty electric pedestal. No problem relocating, and the maintenance crew was working on the problem within 15 minutes. No amenities, but good for an overnight stop. Convenient to Roanoke.

We stayed here four nights. Excellent "base camp". Short drive to New Haven, New London, Groton, Mystic and many other cities. Family owned/operated; very friendly and helpful. Family resort atmosphere. Excellent facilities with ice cream bar and variety of snack foods avail. Large number of seasonal visitors, indicating a satisfied base. We definitely will stay here again.

We are spending 3 1/2 months here this winter. Mostly park models and permanently attached travel trailers & 5th wheels. Around 25-30 sites actually available for RV's. Size of sites are just adequate. Several "old-timers" that have been coming here upwards of 20 years have told me this used to be a beautiful well-kept park. But since Encore bought it, it has really gone seriously downhill. Two months into our stay and they have not done a general mowing of the weeds (no grass). Virtually no enforcement of rules, such as cargo trailers permanently parked on front of sites, no maintenance of permanently installed trailers. Several full time residents are construction workers on motorcycles; no maintenance or cleaning of their sites or trailers. Park has had 6 managers in 5 years. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Given the park condition and nature of many of the full time residents we will not stay here again.

Good campground. We enjoyed our overnight stay. Interior roads and sites are gravel. Pull-through spaces are not overly spacious, but good for an overnight stop. VERY friendly and accommodating owners. Good power and water. CAUTION: the directions in the Trailer Life directory tells you to exit I-75 at exit 136 and take US 25 south. This is a bad road for a tall motorhome. USE EXIT 129 AND GO NORTH ON US 25.

Excellent CG. Picturesque. Spacious sites. Very quiet. Good power and water. Friendly helpful owners; strong enforcement of rules. One nit: interior roads are mostly gravel and VERY narrow. Great place for an overnight or a month.

Large spacious sites. Most are fairly level, some can be a challenge. Many sites now have full hook-ups, incl sewer. More amenities than can be listed. Policies allow non-members to stay and use facilities. Not listed in campground directories, so you need the phone number. A great spot for a night or a week.

Sites a bit tight. One leg of our 50 amp electric service was weak. Have to drive through a really bad neighborhood to get to it. Nice & very busy restaurant at the entry; convenient and was not a noise problem. Very convenient to visit St. Louis but driving in and out made us nervous.

KOA campground. Very nice park. Well cared for. Spacious sites. Great overnight stop. A bit pricey, but that is the case with most KOA campgrounds.

Typical COE facility. On Lewisville Lake. Spacious sites. No sewer connection, but dump site available. Well maintained. Can't go wrong here.

We spent 4 nights here over the July 4th holiday. They offer many resort-type amenities. This place is VERY remote and in a lower elevation area. There was NO cell/wireless Internet coverage; No off-air TV and the park's Wi-Fi and cable service was not functional. Some spaces are open for satellite TV. Having said that, we liked this resort and would go back. Very quiet. Friendly owner/manager.

We were part of a 20 coach rally. The owner and office staff could not do enough to make us at home and comfortable. Spacious sites; good power and water. Between 2 highways, but did not notice the noise. A great park for overnight or extended stays.

This park is a regular stop for us. We have had several overnight stays and once spent a week here. This is a very old campground and there are NO amenities. But it is comfortable like an old glove. Every time we have been here the office staff has been very friendly and helpful. Sites are long and narrow, but they stagger the RV's so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. Of course, the fact that there is no other campground anywhere near Louisville has some influence.

We love this park. A bit remote for just an overnight stay. Great place to spend a couple weeks. Significantly better and more economical than the 3 state parks we stopped at (but would not stay). Beautiful views & very quiet. Office staff very friendly. I would avoid the 4 spaces right in front of the office; pretty busy and tight space. Other sites are very spacious.

We stay in this park 4 nights. Spacious sites. Quiet. Exceptionally well maintained and clean. This definitely is on our "use again" list.

Good overnight park. Convenient to Grand Rapids. Right on US131. Constant highway noise 24 hours/day. Only 30 amp power. Water had a very strong "well water" odor. All facilities were well maintained. Friendly office staff.

Very nice park. Gorgeous U.P. setting. Back-in spaces very were spacious; pull thru sites narrow. Cleanest restrooms I have seen in a long time. We stayed 2 nights but would have enjoyed staying longer.

Gravel interior roads. Large gravel sites, mostly level. Park is well maintained. Friendly, helpful owner/staff. Good steady power, excellent water pressure. We stayed 5 nights and would definitely return.

We spent January and February at this park. Sites are spacious and facilities are clean. Office and maintenance personnel are friendly and helpful. I have one problem and 2 quibbles. Problem: power is weak and erratic. My EMS shut down my motorhome 5 times from voltage dropping below 104v. Quibbles: 1) the constant 24-hour drone of highway noise from I-4; 2) well over 50% of guests were French Canadian, most of whom were extremely arrogant. They held their daily "social" meetings in the laundry rooms, dominated all the limited activities and either could not, or would not speak English. They typically looked the other way and would not respond when we would take walks and say "good morning." I will look for a different park next winter.

This park is very clean and well cared for. The couple that manages the park were very helpful and would do anything to make sure guests are satisfied. A little close to I-75 so traffic noise is noticable. We stayed a total of 8 days and will definitely return. The rate indicated was a rally rate. I believe the GS rate is $32.

Great overnight stop. Large sites. Clean restroom. Very friendly staff. Easy in and out; but watch for the speed bumps on entry road. We will stop back here next month and stay for 3 or 4 nights and explore the area.

WARNING!! Great location with some amenities - but that is about the only positive thing I can say. We were part of a rally of 15 coaches. Made reservation for FULL HOOKUP 50 AMP space 4 months ago. Space reserved for me was only 30 amp and no sewer. Moved to an "overflow" space - no sewer and the 50 amp plug was wired wrong and had an open neutral. Nobody around to check it or correct it. Moved to another space; electric was OK, but no sewer. The sewer dump station is on a far corner of the property on a very tight circle. Bathrooms appear to be early 20th century and were very dirty. Granted, this was a weekend, but isn't that when many people arrive at a campground. The only staff avail. was a NEW teen clerk at the reception desk and a work camper couple emptying trash cans in the park. We will avoid this place.

This campground is over 50 years old, but well maintained and very clean. Electrical connections are on utility polls but power is good. The spaces are small but, for the most part, they place RV's so it does not feel crowded. There are lots of trees so you feel like you are in a park. But, of course, that limits satellite TV reception. We enjoyed our 8 nights here and will stay here again if in the area.

First impressions can be deceiving. First impression of this park is that it is pretty bland and not very up-to-date. After a couple nights here, it has most everything. Pool. Very clean restrooms & showers. Sites are long and reasonable width; all gravel but mostly level. Every site has a picnic table. Good power and water. Although the office hours are unpredictable and erratic, the staff is very friendly. Good place to use as a base camp for a few days.

This is an older park. VERY small narrow sites; our 36' motorhome barely fit. A 40 footer would not. My driver side window awning was 2 inches from the patio awning of the unit next door. Clubhouse/meeting/card/activity rooms were good. Lots of entertainment scheduled. Nice pool. Wi-Fi available for a fairly high fee. No landscaping except what some permanent residents have put in. In all fairness, any park rating here is influenced by the overall appearance/aura of South Texas. This is our first winter in "the Valley" and we will not return. This is the one of the most barren and economically depressed areas we have ever been in.

This is an older and VERY TIRED campground. Very cramped sites. a few concrete pads but many sites are gravel. Too cold to use the pool, but 8 people overcrowd it - no more than 10' x 18'. We spent a week here, but I would hesitate to stay here again.

Park is only a couple years old. New owner as of end of May. He was exceptionally nice and showed concern that everything was to our satisfaction. Long wide sites that are perfectly level. Good water and pressure. Strong, consistent power. Very convenient off/on I65, but far enough that road noise was not a problem. Even a nearby train track was not bothersome. Not a lot of amenities but then we never use the pools, volley ball nets, etc. that obviously you end up paying for. Makes a great "base camp" for exploring that area of Kentucky. They have a very nice looking group activity center & excellent pavilion so this probably would make an excellent place for a small group rally. I absolutely will stop here again.

Some would say this is a good family campground. It would appear that half the inner city of Detroit comes out here for the summer; most sites have multiple vehicles and from 6 - 10 people (by actual count). All the sites are dirt - no gravel, etc. So after every rain the entire CG is one big mud patch. Otherwise it is a dusty mess. At $39/night I would expect a little nicer site. There are many amenities avail - all at a cost. We have family in Southeastern Michigan and this is about the only CG avail in this area for our bi-annual visits. So over the past 5 years we probably have spent more total nights here than most anywhere else in the US. Without doubt we dislike this more than anywhere else.

An older CG that fits like a comfortable old glove. Very woodsy. Most sites are reasonably level. Good staff. We stay here often and will continue.

This was a repeat visit for us. Associated with an RV sales and service operation. Good parts center. Large portion of sites are permanent - workers and service personnel for the nearby Air Force base. Because it is not really near anything, it is very quiet and pleasant - even considering its large size. Grounds are well maintained. 6 miles off interstate 75, but still convenient for an overnight stop.

This is an older CG and the drive roads are a bit narrow. But most sites have a concrete pad with concrete pad for picnic table and a wood fence between sites for privacy. My overall rating is perhaps a point higher because of very friendly and helpful owner, who seems to be everywhere at once 24 hours a day. Plus the grounds are very well maintained and clean. This was a repeat visit for us. No pool or other amenities, but we stayed here 8 days. Very convenient to Asheville.

Older park with very narrow roadways. More than half the RV's appear to be permanently installed. Heavy car repairs going on in 3 sites. More dogs in park than campers. Staff was present in body but not in mind. Asked for a 50 amp pull-thru for 36'+ attached car. Site assigned was only 30 amp and about 10 feet too short. Moved to another that was OK. This was an overnight sleep stop; next time will use the CG about 500' down the road.

This is the second year we have spent the winter months here. The location is excellent. Sites are very spacious with concrete patio and picnic table. Lots of old trees. Bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. Laundry equipment is old and unreliable, but in gradual process of being replaced. Nice large clubhouse for activities, but all in one large space. I give this park a "6" rating for the following reasons: DOGS! Too many, too big, and not always picked up after! In 2+ months the leaves (from large Live Oaks) were not raked a single time. The new lady manager seems to convey the image of a den mother looking after her elderly residents and she knows what is best. If the above 3 issues were corrected this would be a very highly rated resort/park. But after 2 seasons here, we probably will winter someplace else.

A relatively new RV park made in a field beside a cemetery (at least the neighbors are quiet). Very large sites but most are not level. No picnic tables at any site. No pool or any other facilities. Laundry room totally inadequate for the number of sites. A bit pricey for what is provided.

Rate of $10 is escapees member rate, plus electric. All escapees parks are basic simple parks. No pool, no frills; but I rarely see anybody using such amenities where available, so why pay for them. Very clean and spacious. Good club house with books, pool table, lots of movies for loan. Pancake/sausage breakfast on Saturdays. Easy in and out. A little road noise, but not bad. Yes, the demographics are older, but for a night stop-over, can't be beat.

A little pricey for what is available, but most everything around Santa Fe is. Very friendly staff. Beautiful views. Close enough to I-25 to be convenient, but far enough to be very quiet. We liked it (and Santa Fe) well enough that we stayed 7 days. VERY high winds 4 days/nights so everything was very dusty; but that is not fault of CG. Had 2 heavy rains so the interior gravel roads became a bit rutted. We definitely will stay here again.

This is a very rustic cg. Many sites are not too level. Very friendly and helpful owner/operator. This certainly is not a "Class A" campground but we enjoyed our 4 night stay and certainly will stay again.

The main feature of this part is location! location!! location!!! Right on the beach. All lots are owned by individuals. Some Park models and many permanent RV's. Interior roads are a bit narrow, but I was able to maneuver our 36' motorhome OK. No activities, but we were not looking for any. Our only complaint of any significance was that too many residents believed the "dog waste" rules did not apply to them. So there was way too much dog waste; not fun when you are returning from the beach in flip flops. No WiFi. So while I don't like the dog situation, we will stay here again next year because of the location.
