This park is big rig friendly with many pull through sites. Internal roads and sites are gravel. Situated close to Mount Airy for convenient shopping. Staff was friendly. Park staff was friendly. However, this park charges resort prices for a plain Jane facility. The rate shown was a monthly rate with the only amenity being cable TV. Wi-Fi did not work well, if at all.

We were surprised; this is a very nice, clean campground. Bring your dish because you can not get TV. Free Wi-Fi and it works well. Verizon did not work here. Manager was very friendly and efficient. It was not crowded and sites are spread out. Can handle most any size rig.

Location, location, location is the only reason to stay in this park. Jekyll Island is beautiful, with great biking, walking, beaches and historical significant. The campground itself is all dirt, sites are close together, some at odd angles. You can see where it rained and had standing water in low spots. It was quiet at night and about two miles to swimming beaches. Would look for another choice if we come again to this area.

Rate reflects average with Passport America good Monday-Thursday. Nice new facility with stone roads and sites. It is a little pricey if you pay full price for the amenities available. Wi-Fi works on some of the sites but not all. It is close to town and shopping. We would stay here again.

We like this campground in the Francis Marion National Forest. If you want to camp in September-October be sure to make reservations as it is shrimping season and the locals pretty much reserve all the sites. We were lucky to get two nights as a drive-up. Camp Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Great place to just kick back. We would stay here again.

This was a well maintained campground with grass sites. Sites were long, up to 100 ft. so that rigs could stay hooked up. Management was friendly and the laundry room was very clean. Very convenient to shopping and Georgia Southern University. Be sure to visit the Center for Wildlife Education and Raptor Center at the University. We would stay here again.

This campground is grass sites with nothing fancy. It is close to town and to several beaches. We did not see management the three days we spent here. Everything was done by phone, and they were very pleasant. Campground offers very attractive monthly rates. The grass needed mowing and the interior road had some pot holes but overall a good place to stay. We would stay here again.

This was a very nice setting but did not feel it was quite up to the COE standards. All the sites sat above the lake. Attendants were helpful. Grass was not mowed and was almost knee high. There was only 3 or 4 campers besides us during the week, more on the weekend but it was not full. Most came for the fishing.

We found the check-in staff not to be helpful. Interior roads and pads need maintence. It was a great place for birding and they had two very nice pools. Deer visited the camping area in the evening.
