Superior park compared to other parks on the island. Be aware of many small close-to-neighbor sites and tight maneuvering to park at most sites. The motor home pull thru sites require unhitching the toad. Oversize gravel on many sites and prefab patio surfaces provided on premium sites. Extended grass area for pets, yet many grass burrs.
Appealing features include spacious pull-thru parking, location on upper bank of Colorado River with extended wood deck view, and friendly check in reception. I would stay again . Millenicom hotspot (Verizon) had poor reception; however, the site's free internet provided worked well.
Pros: Attractive very well maintained park. Spacious parking which is great for 40' + units. Exceptional over sized dog area. Friendly check-in reception. Convenient to Montgomery activities. Pull thru with length to keep tow connected which is sometimes useful. Will return again. No Cons that warrants noting. Be advised you should abide to this parks' rules! Park has many interior driving signs, Do Not Enter, One Way etc. They are enforced. Pay attention to parking space direction signs. For example, a space on the far right area requires a far left route to navigate to so don't just drive to your parking spot.,
Pros: Short drive south of town. Spacious spaces which is a priority for 40'+ units. Reasonable rates. Staff/owners friendly, helpful. Felt safe as based on park's environment. Will return again! Cons: Minimum landscaping, but so what when rate is reasonable.
Staff not so friendly (demeanor as if they have been insulted by others all day) Our 44' RV was difficult to maneuver into space (toad had to be unhitched before driving on internal roads) and had to back out of a drive thru space. Non-premium spaces lacked paved patios. They should have started improvements on expensive spaces first. Internal roads paved and parking spots all oversize gravel - hard walking. Pet yard undersized and lots of sticker burrs.
Friendly reception, ample space for motorhome with slide outs. Level, gravel parking and interior roads OK. Too cold for pool season. Easy drive from I-35 via country highway. Toll road very close for trips south into Austin. Park location seems "in the country" yet ample services nearby. New HEB Plus grocery store less than 2 miles. Will stay again when in the area
Attractive amenities, concrete parking and interior roadways, friendly staff and nice pet area. Just slightly snug exiting our 44' MH with tow upon departure. About 25 miles to downtown Houston via I-45. Just a short drive to historic downtown Spring, TX.
