We stay here each time we are in the Salt Lake City area. The sites are paved, level, and adequately spaced. The restrooms and showers are the best we have seen. The only reason not to give this a 10 rating is the Wi-Fi. It was spotty at best. We love the fact it is easy access to downtown SLC and any areas to the west and south. We will always stay here when in the area.
The rate is a little pricey, but this IS Yellowstone, one of the most popular and beautiful spots in this country. This is one of the best parks we have been in. The staff was helpful and pleasant, the sites are level and adequately spaced. It is easy access for the largest rigs. Wi-Fi was free for 2 hours a day or could be purchased for $4/day. We would return to this park on future visits.
OK, where do I start? First, the managers and office staff. They are all so pleasant, efficient, and extremely accommodating. The grounds are unbelievably well maintained and pretty. The riverside sites are grass and very wide or a little more narrow and gravel in the side-by-side section. It is awesome to back up to the river and have that view from the back window of the motorhome. The sites are very level. The area is rural so there is an abundance of wildlife that venture into the park in the evenings and early morning. The WiFi worked fine. There is no cable TV so the only channels we got were CBS and Fox. However, we didn't find that a problem in the week we were here. It rained, hailed and was pretty cold while we were here, but the couple nice days were awesome. While here you need to drive down the road to the natural bridge falls: what a sight. We will definitely return: hopefully during better weather.
A good, clean park for our overnight stay. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The sights were mostly side-by-side but there was enough room between sites so that we didn't feel cramped. Very dog-friendly park as long as you pick up after your pet (which should be considered a given by responsible pet owners). We will absolutely stay here again.
Nice, clean park for an overnight. The pull-throughs were long enough for us to not have to unhook our car. No specified dog area, but as long as you picked up after your pet, you were free to walk anywhere. We would stay here again when going through the area.
In defense of the park, the electric problem the previous poster commented on was originally created by the local power company losing 2 transfer stations during the extreme cold weather they had in the valley at the time. Some of the park was without power for a couple days but the management provided 3 meals a day for those without electricity. They did everything they could and the power was restored after 3 days of part of the park having no power. The management should be thanked for their efforts in such a stressful time. The nice thing was the residents checked on each other and made sure the older folks were taken care of. We have come back to this park for 8 years and will continue to come back until we are physically unable.
Even though this is a small park, with close spaces, and all gravel and dirt, it is one of the best places we have stayed. The baths were cleaner than most bathrooms in private homes. It was unbelievable. When we checked in we were told how to get to our site and she would meet us there. She guided us in and explained all the hook-ups, even though we have been doing this for about 12 years. One nice thing is they provide the cable for the cable connection. There was plenty of it to reach our connection on our rig. The dog run is great, however some people still do not have the courtesy to pick up after their dogs. The laundry was inexpensive and clean. The only reason we did not give it a 10 is because there is no pool, even though that doesn't matter to us. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone being in the area.
Paved level pull-through spaces are a little narrow, but there is room for all slides and a place to park your vehicle. The park is secured with a gate. You are given the code when you check in. Office staff is helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that you are not allowed to walk your dog around the lake, but it was too hot to walk around the lake anyway. Easy access to the 610 highway and all parts of Houston. Reliant Field is close and Minute Maid Park is easy to get to. We will come here again.
Wow! This is one of the prettiest parks we have ever stayed in. The place is so shady because of all the trees. Every space has great tree coverage. They do a great job of keeping the trees trimmed high enough so as to not damage any rig no matter how big. The office staff was very helpful and the escort was great. He kept apologizing to us because we had to wait while he escorted the folks who checked in before us. They were very handy if we had a question or a problem. We would absolutely return here when coming to the Dallas area.
This was a really nice park. The spaces were super wide, grass, level, and solid ground. We had a site on the corner with a crop field next to us. It was easy to get into as we were led through one space into ours. Our only complaint was the men who worked there were not exactly the friendliest or most corgial. The lady in the office however was very personable and pleasant. We would probably stay here again if going through Vernon.
This is a really nice park. An added plus is the BBQ supper available. The choices were good and the food was excellent. The owner was extremely helpful with anything we needed. Spaces were wide enough for all 4 of our slides. The pads were solid gravel and level.
This is a fairly new park and a great place to stay when visiting the SLC area. The sites are all concrete and have grass between each site. My only complaint is the dog area is not a fenced in area. However, we managed just fine. The pool is great. It is convenient to all things in SLC but you are outside of the city just enough for it to be quiet. It is close to the airport, but we had no problem with airport noise. We will definitely stay here again.
This is our go-to place when heading home to Reno. Sites are close but not intrusive. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Will always be our last stop before home: unless they have different owners and the place goes downhill.
Nice long pull-through spaces on grass with concrete pads for vehicles. Staff was very friendly and even offered use of satellite box for TV use. Restrooms and shower were spotless. WiFi was adequate. The only downside were the giant mosquitoes. This is a good overnight park well off of the freeway. We will stay here again.
Entrance to park is very rugged. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The laundry and restrooms were spotless. This park is perfect for an overnight stop and yes, it is the only game in town. Freeway noise was very loud, but we ran AC and it was no bother. We would probably stay again.
This is one of the best parks we've stayed in this trip. Nice long, shady, level spaces. Sparkling restrooms and pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good access from I-80 for overnight or extended stay. The only downside was the rumble from the Harley dealer next door. All in all a great park. We will stay here again.
A good spot for an over night. It is close to I-80 (some might think a little too close.) There are long fairly level pull through sites with some shade. There are clean restrooms and showers and a nice refreshing pool. We will definitely stay again. We used Passport America for $14 rate.
We stayed here several years ago and didn't remember a lot about the park, but it was much nicer than we anticipated. It was quiet and clean. Our only complaint was when we came back to the park one time the line to get in was very long with the lead vehicle conducting business in the gatehouse. Finally one of the staff came and opened the other gate for those of us just trying to get in. Later we found that if we left our Passport America card they would give us a key card for the keyed gate. Thank goodness because we didn't get back one night until after the gatehouse was closed. We wish they would have informed us of that option when we checked in. It's nice that they pick up your trash twice a day. The space we were in was small, but OK since we were only there 2 nights. We would absolutely stay here again when in the area.
We stayed here just overnight and were a little concerned at first since there wasn't a lot of info in the previous reviews. Needless to say, we were pleasantly surprised what we found. First of all the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Our site was large with no problems with our slides. The connections were clean and easy to work with. The biggest surprise, as a previous reviewer stated, was the bathroom. It is bright, clean and has washcloths for the guests use. We have seen clean and nice bath houses before but never have seen such a nice touch. The tent sites are nicely separated from each other by large shrubs so as to give them some privacy. The park sits next to the canal and there is access from the campground. In addition the town of Geneseo is one of the cutest, cleanest, most pleasant towns we have been in. We would definitely stay here again and may even make Geneseo a destination for a few days.
Good location just off Indiana Toll Road. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and local attractions. Long, level hard grassy spots with picnic tables. Restrooms and laundry were clean but there was a minor drainage problem in the rear bathhouse shower. Wi-Fi was adequate and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay here again.
Great park with long, level, concrete spaces. Clean, cool restrooms and showers. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi was a tad weak even thought we were 3 spaces from the antenna. Convenient to both Toledo and Detroit. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We highly recommend this park.
We last stayed here when it was called Mar-Lynn Lake and this park is even better now. Spacious level sights with 50 amp power, sewer, and water. After we were escorted to our sight, the camp host cleaned and sanitized our water hookup--what a nice touch. Everyone there was friendly and helpful and all of the facilities were immaculate. The only downside was the WIFI was weak at best, even though we were very close to the access point. It did work well from the laundry. The park is very convenient to all Cleveland attractions and there are plenty of groceries, restaurants and stores close by. We highly recommend this park and will definitely stay here again.
This was a last minute choice to stay here and we are so glad we did. The grounds are clean and well kept, the staff is friendly and polite, and the spaces are large even though they are side by side. Our slide was very close to our neighbors slide but the space between our patio and our neighbors was very roomy. This is what you would expect for the amount of money you pay. We would stay here again.
Let's start with the negative - there is no cell reception here, there is no TV reception here - and none of these are the fault of the owners. Now the positive. This is the quietest place we have been. Even though it rained the entire time we were here and they had to use the honey truck to suck up the standing water, the campground is really nice. The owners are so helpful and friendly. They work very hard to keep the grounds nice and it shows. We thought we had reservations but didn't (due to our own error) and they did more than necessary to accommodate us. For that we will always be grateful. We will definitely stay here again.
This is a really interesting spot. It is a great location for exploring Freeport & Portland. It is also on the Desert of Maine - yes, a real desert. They offer tours of the desert at a discounted rate for campground guests. The owners are the best. They work very hard and the place shows it. The owner is going to fence in a portion of the park for a dog run with agility obstacles. They also are trying to get cable installed. It is a very quiet, lush spot. We would definitely come back.
If you want peace and quiet, this is the perfect place to be. But to us that was the only reason to stay here. It is rather difficult to get to in our 40 ft. motorhome. The road is narrow with low hanging branches. Our site was very uneven and it was rather hard to level our rig. There was no designated spot for a dog walk, so we were always afraid we were somewhere we shouldn't have been. There was cable at each spot, but it was only available if you were staying for the season - not very accommodating. It was close to Providence, Newport, and Mystic. I don't think we would ever stay here again.
This is a very quiet park, a little out of the way for an overnight stop. It is a good location for visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Since we were just overnight, we were directed to the one site by the bathrooms that had water/electric. The dump station was in back of that so in the morning we just had to back up to dump our tanks. The folks were very nice and accommodating. We probably would not stay there again unless we were going to the Scranton area.
The interior roads are in really bad shape. The whole area is very hilly - common for the area in general. The dog area is at the top of the hill by the dump station. My only complaint about that is it is not fenced in. The laundry is adequate and the staff is friendly. Due to the fact that all of the staff is new to the area, they weren't very helpful with questions about the area. This is not their fault, but we didn't see the owners at all. Too bad they aren't available to answer questions.
We were directed to this RV park by friends who live in Cambridge, and had worked there when they were full-timers. There are new owners now who are doing a lot of work to upgrade some of the things that needed work. The staff is very friendly and hard-working. The sites are generous in size and could handle any size rig. Our site was level and we had no problems navigating the interior roads. The park is big enough that we never saw all of it. We know there is a swimming pond with a slide and lots of grassy area for various activities. We would stay there again when in the area.
We were here for a week over Memorial Day weekend. We had wanted to stay closer to Cincinnati to go to a ballgame, but due to the holiday weekend this was as close as we could get - and are we glad. This is one of the prettiest parks we have been in. The owners seem to never stop working. They ask you follow the rules which only makes for a very enjoyable visit. They went out of their way on a couple occasions to help us out and it was very much appreciated. They gave a hay ride across the river and into the farm on the weekend, which was so much fun. Our spot was on the road which had a lot of construction traffic which was quite noisy during the day, but that is by no means the owners fault. We will tell everyone we know about this place and we will absolutely return here when in the area.
This is a great place for an overnight or a week or more. We loved the peace and quiet but with it being close enough to Louisville for a day trip. The owners are wonderful and ready to help with anything you need. Our site was level and very long. Lots of places to walk the dog. Our only complaint was that we were plugged into 50 amp but only showed 30 amps on the control panel. We would definitely stay here again and refer all our friends here.
The day we arrived the bordering creek had come out of it's banks at about 5 a.m. and the park was under about 4 feet of water in some spots. The guests, seasonal residents and park employees had spent all day moving rigs out of the flood waters to drier ground. The entire week we were here they worked tirelessly cleaning up the flood damage. The spot they put us in had only had about 1 foot of water on it so the damage was minimal and we were able to park there. The staff was extremely helpful even in the face of all they had to do. We enjoyed this park a lot. It is out of the city but close enough to go in and see and do all you want to do. If you are in need of doggie day care, they have brochures for a wonderful place in the office. Our dog loved going there. They have a fenced in dog run here but due to the flood it was muddy and we didn't take advantage of it. The highway noise was not a bother to us. We would stay here again any time we are in the Nashville area and would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.
Really nice, clean, well run park. The spaces were large and all concrete. The only reason for us not to give this a 10 rating was our wifi didn't work until half-way through our stay. We tried to plug in our phone cord and use dial-up but had no dial tone. We were told the whole park was down, but 3 days later we called maintenance directly and the maintenance guy came right down and replaced the connection and we had internet access. We would stay there again if we were going to the Tunica area, but not for visiting Memphis as it is quite a long drive and there are closer RV parks to Memphis.
Don't know why the previous visitor gave this such a low rating. We found the sites very adequate, the roads paved and wide enough. The only downside is our neighbor had pulled his 5th wheel very close to the front of his site and made it a little difficult for us to pull out, but that is not the park's fault. The staff was very helpful. The dog run was a great place to unleash our dog and let him have a little freedom. The wi-fi was super. The best signal we have had so far on our trip. We definitely will be back when we are in this part of the state.
Nice spot for an overnight or two. Easy access off of I-40 and close to food, shopping and OKC attractions. Sites were long and level. Cable TV was excellent but wi-fi was spotty. Restrooms were clean and indoor pool & hot tub was a plus. We will stay here again.
As with previous reviewer, we are also on our way to Maine. Excellent park with long, wide pull throughs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Park is very close to the best steak house in Amarillo. Good clean restrooms and nice enclosed dog run. We used Passport America for the $15 rate, so this park turned out to be a real bargain. We will definitely be staying here again
Nice park with large pull-throughs. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Sites are hard packed dirt and I wouldn't want to be here during the rainy season. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Far enough from the Interstate that noise wasn't much of a problem. Some previous dog walkers were not very considerate, but that's a personal problem and the park can't control that. We used Passport America and got a great rate. We will definitely stay here again.
Great park for an over nighter. Extra wide and long pull through spaces. Showers and rest rooms are very clean and spacious. There is a nice dog run area. Petro Fuel stop is close for food and fuel, but noise is not a problem. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were forced here due to high winds and all the spots we had stayed before being full due to the beginning of fishing season. This will now be our go-to place on our way home from AZ after winter. The spots are adequate in length and width. We have 4 slides and had no problems. When we pulled in the office was closed for about 30 minutes but one of the long-term residents advised us to pick a spot and then go to the office when it was open. The park was not full so we had no problem finding a spot. The dog run is not enclosed but is all grass, huge, and they have bags and a big trash can. Nice for our 4-legged child. The wi-fi was great and the cable was also great. It is a little pricey but for a spot this clean and confortable, it is worth it to us.
Weather forced us to stop in Carson City for an over-nighter. This park was more than adequate as it offered pull through sites and 50 amp service. The staff was friendly and facilities were clean. Costco was within walking distance and there is a casino across the street if you don't want to cook. It was too early in the season for the pool and spa, but we would definitely stay here again
We stopped here overnight on our way home to Reno from Mesa. We usually stay at another park in the area but decided to try this one for a change of pace. We were very happy we did. There is no office so you are met at the entrance and escorted to your site where the registration is completed and fee collected. We were welcomed as if we stayed here often. It's nice they have a fenced dog area and that you are welcome to walk your dog anywhere in the park as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after. The sites are very adequate for a rig with 4 slides. The patio was nice sized. They only thing that kept us from giving this park a "10" rating is they have no cable hook-up. For those of us without satellite it makes watching our favorite shows a little more difficult. We now have a new overnight spot when traveling east or south.
We stayed here due to mechanical problems with our motorhome. We planned on staying 2 nights at the most and ended up staying 3 nights. The staff was extremely helpful and cooperative. The park is old, the baths, showers and laundry is old but is clean. It is very quiet and the staff gave us a great tip for dinner at the Idle Spur steakhouse. Good place for an overnight or in case of an emergency.
Our only negative comment is the price of the spaces. However, we were 2 blocks from Disneyland, we watched the fireworks from in front of our RV and it was easy freeway access. With all those positives this park rates a 9 in our book. The staff was friendly and helpful and we will stay there again anytime we are visiting the Magic Kingdom.
We stayed here for 10 nights. The park is immaculate thanks to the care and pride of the owner. The spaces are adequately wide. Because of the location it is very shady. The location is right off I-90 but with all the trees between the highway and the park you don't hear the traffic noise. The only down side is the office is closed most of the day however if the office is closed when you arrive your space number is easily noted on the blackboard at the office as you enter the park. We would stay here again as it is an easy commute to Seattle and places East of here. The staff is extremely helpful. They even recommended a boarding kennel for our dog. We recommend it but you must make reservations.
We stayed here as a central location between Salem and Eugene with Coburg in the area also. We found this to be a very nice park. We stayed both on our way to Seattle for an overnight and again on our way back from Seattle for 3 nights. It is convenient to the freeway but with no noise. The park is very clean. Our only negative comments would be that they have no fenced dog area however, they are in back of a large park/soccer field and we would let our dog run there if there was no activity there or no people in the park. Also the spaces were a bit narrow. They were adequate so you did not feel cramped with your neighbors but they did not have very much patio room. We would absolutely stay there again either as an overnight or an extended stay to visit the area. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants.
What a great park for either an over-night or an extended stay. The bathrooms were clean and large. The fenced dog area was a great treat for both us and our dog. He really needed a place to run unleashed. The spaces were adequately wide and long enough for us to not unhook our car. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a small continental breakfast in the mornings which included coffee, tea, hot chocolate, mini bagels, mini muffins and slices of coffee cake. We will definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here the last 6 years. This is like camping in a state park because of the pine trees and being away from town, however the roads are paved and they have all the amenities you expect in an RV park except for a pool and wifi. They have horseshoe pits, shuffleboard, table tennis, and a nice big dog walk area. The park is on the river with access via a path from the rv park. They have fire pits, but because of the extreme fire danger fires were not allowed. It is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The owner is strict on following the rules but the park is great because of it. We will continue to go there as long as we are rving.
Nice park for an overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff. This park is under new ownership and improvements are being made. Free Wifi was available at office, but repeaters and antennas were in the process of being installed. Pet area clean and adequate.
What was supposed to be an overnight stay turned into 3 nights due to bad weather. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The paved spaces were long and level and the hookups were easily accessible. The off-leash pet area was mostly rocks and weeds, but it was adequate size. The private restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. There is a Flying J across the street and plenty of restaurants in the area as well as a Wal-mart Supercenter. In all, a good place to stay.
Spaces are gravel and adequately wide and level. We were charged the "winter" rate for the first night and "summer" rate for the remaining 3 nights. When we went in the office to buy ice we were told they weren't set up for summer yet therefore they had no ice. Don't know why we were charged the "summer" rate if they are not set up for summer. When we asked about cable being installed we were told that cable is not available anywhere in No Name, Colorado. Later while talking to another employee we were told they are in the process of installing a TV service equal to cable. We could have been told that the first time. The laundry room is very small and has 1 washer and 1 dryer. The rate for the washer is $4.00 and the rate for the dryer is $3.00. The bad thing here is if Glenwood Springs is your destination, this park is one of 2 in the area. This park is in a beautiful location at the mouth of an incredible canyon, but it's too bad the owners and employees don't treat their guests as if they valued their business. Overall, this is an overpriced RV park with no pool, cable or TV service, expensive WiFi, inadequate laundry facilities, unfriendly and unhelpful staff and owners.
The road to the park was a dirt road with a few washboard areas. The park is directly behind a truck stop, but the owners placed us in a space quite far away from the trucks so we didn't have to listen to the engines all night. The pet walk are is very narrow with quite high grass, but it isn't far from any spots. The spaces are typical KOA narrow and gravel, but they are fairly level.
One of the best RV parks we have ever stayed in. The sites are level, concrete, and very easy to hook up due to the new power pedestal. The owners are the best: extremely friendly and offered to do anything to make our overnight stay comfortable. The breakfast was simple but adequate and the Mexican restaurant next door was excellent. Will stay here any time we are traveling on 44 in that area.
We have stayed at Val Vista Village for the last 3 years. We arrive in January and stay for 3 months. The park is fairly old and is in need of some repairs which are being undertaken since there is a new manager on board. They have so many activities for you to choose from that if you are bored it is your own fault. The park is located centrally to shopping, restaurants, hiking, boating, movies, museums, theatres and anything you could possibly want to do. We will continue to spend winters there as long as we are able.
We found this park to be very quiet and comfortable. The spaces are adequate. The park is close to the theatres but not in the hustle and noise of the town. The staff are the greatest. They will get show tickets for you and at a discount. The seats they get for you are always in the 1st few rows. The gift shop is really cute also.
This is one of the cleanest RV parks we have been in. The spaces are wide and long. Bags are provided in the pet walk are as is a waste container. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Our only complaint is the laundry area is extremely small with only 2 washers and 2 dryers.
