I rated this an 8 because; a) the friendliest campground I can remember in 25 yrs. b) although small with minimum activities, (weekend potlucks etc.), there is absolutely no highway noise. c) The rates were reasonable, wood bundle (delivered), a little larger than others and real hardwood, propane cost for trading a tank was a better price than I can get at my favorite spot at home. d) WI-FI was down the weekend I was there so can't say how good it is. New owners are motivated to improve and make your stay a pleasant one. Great quiet, economical, social friendly getaway.
These people do not like anybody. Yelled at the kids for picking up dead wood on the ground for our fire, then yelled at us. Gave us dirty looks when we passed by their wood for sale, threatened to throw us out and said they can do it just read the rules. The so called pond was a mucky swamp. Pool was well kept. We invited another family to join us and we both wondered what we did so horrible. The other reviews are indeed accurate. It is a beautiful area but these nasty people will never get our business or chance to ruin our day again. It is a shame too because under different owners this was the first park my new bride and our new popup visited years ago and we enjoyed it then.
Very nice, Karl (owner) is an exceptional host. I got in late and he guided me to my spot. Fountain in the front pond is relaxing and we enjoyed walking along the streams. Must be doing something right, we camped mid-week, and it was half full. They offer a good mid-week special though which helps. They rent tee-pees, have several pavilions with barbecues and lighting. Clean working facilities. I would have rated it a 10 if they had Wi-Fi. Visiting again next week, it has become a family favorite, clean, quiet, organized, friendly, and a place to remember.
All facilities virtually brand new. Great owners, stayed late to greet us, no problem friendly exchange on a defective sewer hose. Located on the lake, (no lake sites), boat launch and docks, picnic area at dock area and a separate area for boat parking. Very quiet with large sites. Limited TV broadcasts (it is between two mountains), at night the fire flys on the mountains made it so I could not tell where they stopped and the stars began. Very nice. Internet in the lodge and satellite TV there also. Recommended highly.
Quiet, very wooded, over 50 acres with trails. Pool, recreation hall, play area, volleyball, laundry, Free WiFi, cable TV $3.00. 68 sites plus rustic tent area. Close to Traverse City, Canoing, ORV trails, and many public access lakes and rivers. Many full hook up sites have a concrete patio, all have table and fire ring, several pull-through sites. Small store with wood and close to town.
