Jellystone Park Quarryville is a very nice campground. The campground is well kept and maintained, from weed removal to cleanliness and the condition of their buildings. The park offers some great activities everyday for families and children to get involved in (some have an additional charge). The greatest asset of this campground is the pool and water park that is included in the price for camping. The pool and water playground are perfect for members of the family of all ages. They are well kept and very clean. The complaint that I would have related to the water facilities would be that in the water park a number (4 or 5) of the interactive devices (water guns, plungers and spray nozzles) were not functioning during our visit. To ensure the maximum impact of the park the owners & staff should ensure that the park and all it's features are working. The park also offers a gem mining experience (additional cost), a very nice miniature golf course (included), pedal bikes (included) and a jumping pillow for the kids. The campground has also just built a new washroom and shower facility. This building is very nice and offered clean toilets and showers that are cleaned multiple times per day. To improve this park there are a number of things that would improve the experience. The park has the potential to be a 10 out of 10, but to get there they need a few improvements. First their event staff did not seem very engaged to our family. An example would be the hay ride staff who loaded the wagon and started a game with the riders to say "Hey" to all we see on the journey. They then proceeded to start a conversation with each other, and text on their phones, rather than engage the riders. We stayed at the North Java Jellystone earlier this year and their event staff for the hay ride included a costumed bear and a lead of a sing song for the kids on the wagon. Additionally, the registration staff were very friendly, but the store clerk had some real attitude issues. At times we observed her presenting a non-caring attitude towards the customers when they asked her for assistance. She was much more interested in herself than serving the customers. The last drawback to site for this campground would be the size of the sites themselves. We stayed on site 69 and found that we had to park our trailer on one side, then put up our dining tent outside the door, leaving just enough room for the fire pit and our camp chairs. We then had to park our truck on the roadside to leave us enough room to move around. Many of the other sites were very similar in size and do not offer much room to move around. All in all we enjoyed our time at Jellystone Quarryville and would recommend it to others. For the money and this type of experience I would recommend Jellystone North Java, but Quarryville has a lot going for it and offers a lot to the camper.

The Erie KOA is a wonderful place to stay. This is our 4th time staying here and every time we are here we have a great time. We stopped here on our way home from another camping location for 2 nights to break up our trip. We had a pull through site located right across from the playground and pool. The site was spacious and offered plenty of room for our trailer, truck and dining tent with plenty of room left over for our kids to play. The pool is very clean and a wonderful place to play. The kids pool is a great asset and our children spent about 4 hours over two days just playing in this little pool. The real benefit of this KOA are the owners and staff. The owners are always out and about interacting with their guests, talking to them and making sure their stay is going well. Saturday night is always full of entertainment. In past years there have been dances, ice cream socials, etc. This year during our stay they had a ventriloquist act for the kids and an ice cream social. We truly enjoyed these events. Additionally, the owners offer a great Sunday morning breakfast where you get 3 free pancakes and can buy breakfast meats, coffee and juice for a very reasonable price. This is a great feature, especially for weekend travelers because it allows you to pack up and get ready to go without the nuisance of preparing and cleaning up one more breakfast before you leave. Overall, we are very pleased with the Erie KOA and will continue to visit this location year after year.

We stayed at the Canandaigua / Rochester KOA for 2 nights on our continuing vacation journey as a stopover. The park is a nice clean family oriented park that is very welcoming to the traveler. The children loved the playground and spent most of their time playing there during the visit. The campground also offers a heated pool that looked very nice, but we did not use it. The campground is a short 20 minute drive from downtown Rochester and is very close to many shopping amenities. The washrooms and showers were very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They did not offer many family activities during the week, but the weekend events looked fun. The sites are quite narrow and crammed together, but were more than long enough to park our truck and trailer for a few days. If you want space to move around on your site, this campground does not offer really wide sites. Overall, I would recommend this KOA as a spot for both short or long stays. It is very clean and well kept. For travelers traveling during the week it would be great to have some family activities added to their schedule.

Riverwood had a lot to offer as a family campground, but was not among the best we have been to. The campground caters mostly to seasonal campers. The playground and the pool are clean and wonderful and our kids loved them. The beach was fun, but there was a lot of goose droppings on the beach and minimal maintenance of it by the staff. The beaches need to be raked daily to clean up this mess. The biggest draw back of this park as a family campground was the sometimes excessive adult drinking that was evident at the park. Alcohol was not restricted to the camp sites. When I say this my family and especially my children observed a group of ladies driving through the park on a Saturday night on a golf cart singing and drinking alcohol while driving a motorized vehicle. Additionally, they had a weekend adult only wagon ride where they cruised through the park very loudly singing and drinking on the wagon. This looked like fun, however may have been a little inappropriate for a campground that advertises itself as a family oriented location. Last but not least the washrooms were pretty clean, but did not receive a lot of attention during the day. The men's transient washroom was without soap in the hand wash until our last day, the showers were push button that went from cold to hot back to cold, and the pool bathroom was plugged and overflowed a couple of times and the staff were not quick to react to the situation. Overall, I would not say this was the most family oriented campground, but the facilities were not bad. If you are looking for a quick, inexpensive getaway, or a stop along your journey's this place is alright. If you are in for a long trip, then I would suggest moving along to another campground.

We stayed at Jellystone for 4 nights this summer and we believe this is the cleanest and best run campground we have visited to date. There were a plethora of activities for the children all day long and everyone of the staff members was pleasant and eager to help. Bathrooms were cleaned 3x per day and the water park was just right for kids 2 through 50. We will definitely be returning to Jellystone North Java in the future. If I have any criticism for them is that our site E4 had a 3 foot diameter mud spot that should have been filled with gravel to prevent sinking or slipping during setup. Other than that everything we saw was well maintained and tip top.
