This is hands-down one of the best RV parks out of hundreds we have stayed at over the years. Owners keep this park perfectly groomed. Spaces are large and hook-ups are intelligently placed. Has mature trees, it's quiet, mountains views. The bonus is that the owners have a great sense of humor, and share this with you throughout the camp, very entertaining! Definitely not kid-friendly, but the rest of you are in for a real treat. Better reserve, or you will likely be shut out of a place that people in the know return to time and time again.
We have camped here several times and every time it's the same story. In theory, it should be a great campground, located in a heavily wooded area. In reality, it's a pretty sorry excuse for a campground. Big issues: it's a zoo with gazillions of sites. Tenters, motorcycle groups, and campers galore in tight sites with narrow roads. There are lots of traffic jams and noise. Second, many of the better sites are very out of level. We have had to borrow leveling blocks to get level. Even automatic levelers won't do it in some sites, and these are the "premium" ones!! I don't understand how KOA lets them get away with this. I've sent specific comments to KOA HQ, but never get a response. I come back occasionally to see if they have done anything, but it never changes. It is way overpriced for what you get. Avoid unless you must.
