We spent 2 days here. This is an older park that is showing signs of wear. Some spots have picnic tables, some do not. Hookups are shared with other site; only 30 amp service. Tried to take a shower but big sign said no hot water, when I asked about it the guy in the office thought I was out of line for asking about it. He said the other building has a shower; the water went out last week. Wi-Fi was not working; very low signal. For what they charge everything should work not worth the money they charge. Good for overnight but not long term. Only back-in sites, gravel but covered with moss. The grass needs to be mowed, too. Might stay overnight again just to see if things are fixed.
Very nice park. Has all the amenities. Escort to site and help getting parked. Some spots are tighter than others. Big rig friendly. The first week was Passport America at half price for the week. No cable TV, that costs extra. The Internet ranges from good to nothing depending on where they park you. I used my Verizon card, which worked well. We stayed 2 weeks and had to move once, but we extended the extra week. Very friendly park. Lunch at the pool was always under $20.00 with tip. Good food. This is our 3rd time here. We will come back and stay here again.
We found this place in Passport America. I thought we would try it out for the night. OMG where to start! The women checking us in was nice; thats the only thing I can say was nice about this place. Leaves and moss everywhere. The river which is the big draw is off limits - NO TRESPASSING. If you do, theres a large fine. After we set up camp, they put a 5th wheel next to me even though empty spots were everywhere. The second he plugged in, my surge guard started to chatter loudly and I had to disconnect the power to make it stop. I thought it had gone out, called a local electrician and was told the box was $768.00 not installed. Spent the night worrying with no power. When the 5th wheel left the next day turned on the power and all was well. The cable TV they advertised was not working and needed a box. Wi-Fi did not work. Sat TV wouldn't work because of the trees. AND THE TRAINS!!!! OMG they were right next to this place and elevated up high and they run day and night. The price is PA rate. We would not stay there again.
The park hosts were awesome. They advertise 12 channels of TV we got 5 and so grainy/fuzzy we couldn't watch it.The host did everything to try to fix it, but nothing we did worked. Sites are narrow and dusty gravel tight turns for a big rig. Down a big hill. Verizon didn't work had to go up the hill. We paid 47.50 with AAA discount. Seemed like too much for what you get. The Wi-Fi worked ok. but lost the signal a few times. Might come back if same hosts.
On arrival we were handed a flyer praising God. I was a little surprised. There is a Church on the grounds. They have a big black dog running around the park part of the security they say. He leaves his calling card everywhere Watch where you walk.Just the basics. Level gravel sites.Escort to site. They advertise WiFi But good luck hooking up to it,We tried for 2 days. Our friends couldn't get on either. WE spent the second day looking for a new park. When we said we were having problems with wyfi were told it works fine. Good for over nite but not long term.
We were expecting to pay $18 like it said in the Passport America book. The rates have gone up. They are the only game in town. The site we were in was $52 a night; PA rate was half but add for 50 amps and taxes, and they only take cash. Anyway, its a nice park but over priced. Good size sites gravel somewhat level. some shade. The pool was still empty. PA rate ($30) is good for only 2 days. We'll be leaving then. No TV but you can get a few channels with antenna. Wouldn't stay here if I had to pay $52 plus $4 for 50 amp, more for Internet, plus 8% tax. I don't see the value.
Very clean. Rate is PA discount. Regular rate is $36, kind of spendy for what you get. Wi-Fi worked good. If you have a good antenna you can get 4 channels of TV, but 2 don't work too well. Level, gravel sites. Big rig friendly. All pull through sites., side by side though.
The park was OK. They have long term people. The lady next to us had three dogs running loose. While we ate our dinner at the picnic table one of the dogs came over and relived himself while we ate. There is a $5 deposit for water key . They did have good fry bread in the office. No pool and no TV. This is a overnight and move on place.
Great park. Close to everything and big rig friendly. Easy in and out. We were greeted by really nice staff who went out of their way to make our stay nice. This is a place to stay for awhile. Lots of big trees and shade. They even have a lounge with lots of books. I would have given a 10, but no pool. I will be back and stay there again. Rate is based on a 1 week stay.
Nice Camp ground. Very friendly people (owners). Big rig OK lots of room. My rate was Passport America rate. Easy on off from I-90. Quiet nice views. Close to Devils Tower. Good water, great TV. I'll stay there again.
Nice park They only took 25% off for Passport America rate. Should have been $22. Paid 38. Had trouble with TV reception, only 12 channels. Close to Rushmore and Crazy Horse. I don't think Id stay there again.
This is a very clean campground. Very friendly staff owners: escort to site. Sites are very narrow and not very level. Park has fire rings. Was easy off /on freeways. WiFi worked great, the TV worked great. Great restaurant, Leckysteer down the road. Beautiful city drive. Will stay here again.
When we arrived it looked like a real nice park. It's layer out nice. Lots of room for big rigs. Very clean. I asked for Good Sam discount, but was told couldn't get it because I was staying a week. Price is for 1 weeks stay.I only gave 7 because, no hot tub, no garbage service, no picnic tables, and the sand spurs are horrible. After hook up I pulled 87 off my shoes. TV and Wi-Fi worked well. You can walk to the beach, but all the rest is a car ride away. To much for what you get. Will not stay here again.
This place is great. Friendly true southern gentleman met us. Beautiful walk to dog river. Close to everything. Great TV and Wi-Fi. Pull throughs or back ins. Lots of big trees. Easy off, on freeway. Will come back here for a week next time.
Very nice park. Friendly owner. About 10 miles from Galveston. 400 ft to the beach. Putt putt golf available. Nice paved level lots with green grass and picnic tables. Roads are a little narrow for a big rig, but sites are wide. Wi-Fi worked great and TV ,too. Nice hot tub. Pool was not heated or cleaned yet, but looked like someone started cleaning. I would have given a 10, but we paid $40.50 with Good Sam discount. Good hook ups, too. I'd stay here again.
This is a very nice park. Very friendly staff. Escort to site. A little tight for a big rig because of the bushes on the corner of the sites. Nice paved level sites. Could be a little wider, but plenty long. Nice pool and small hot tub. The park is beautiful, and each lot has green grass and small (4 people) picnic table. Close to restaurants and lots of things to do. Lots of long term RVers, very friendly. Wide paved roads in and out. All n all this is a good place to stay. Fair price too I'll stay here again. Gate closes at night but code opens when you want to come in or go.
This is a nice park. A little hard to park a big rig. Its a gravel pit for sites, Big gravel hard to walk on. Small sites not much room to park tow car. We were given a premier spot with out a choice. Pretty narrow sites. friendly staff. Really big pool and hot tub. Good TV and Wi-Fi worked good. I thought it a bit pricey for what you get. I gave an 8 because of the gravel mostly.
2 miles from 77S. The road had a few holes in it. The park looks a little run down. The electric wires rubbed the top of our coach. The office was closed. We were standing wondering what to do, when the new owner came over. They, him and his wife had just arrived from Montana. Very helpful and nice. Mostly wide, pull thru sites mostly level. We sat in the green grass. The hook ups are old and need attention, But everything worked. Good Wi-Fi thru the county free. The pool was closed and empty. There were some mobile homes in one section. They were no problem at all. The owner says they will be gone in a couple months. He wants an RV park. For what we got we should have paid 26 or 27 We paid 30. If the pool opens up it would be worth 30. I would stay here again.
This is a nice park. A little hard to find, but close to freeways. Its a little tight for a big rig, but take it slow you'll make it. Escort to site. Sites are level gravel with great hook ups. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Just 6 miles to the west from Alamo and downtown, New paved hiking or bike riding. Borders Salado creek. It's got turtles and fish to watch. I would have given a 10 but $42 is a bit much for a day. I would stay here again
Staff was very friendly. Great greeting, escort to site. Was nice level gravel, not on top of your neighbor. Has good size sites, big pecan trees, lots of deer on the lot to the west. They pick up your garbage at your site in the morning. Has good water. The WiFi worked: great, nice and fast. Right on the river. We'd stay here again. Trying the BBQ tonight. Short drive to town, River Lake Park. A little spendy but worth it. We stayed two days. Easy off on freeway 10 east or west bound. There are lots of fuel stops at this exit.
No TV. A little dusty. Internet was sloooooow: 20 minutes to open 4 emails. Some dog waste from pets of the resident next door. Nice restaurant, short hours; dinner 5 to 7:30 PM. Very easy freeway off and on. I'd stay again. Very friendly staff.
We stayed here 2 days. Friendly people. Lots of TV channels (72). Close to Caverns (16 miles south) close to town 4 miles north, stores. Some dust. Would stay here again. Wi-Fi weak but worked. Kid friendly.
