This is an older campground and like many in the area they cater to the fishing enthusiasts, so there are many boat trailers accompanying RV's. The owners are very friendly and the sites varied in lengths and levelness. We found that the 30 AMP at our site(#38) was not working properly. While we had power, we think we really only had 15 AMPS, so be careful. They are very pet friendly allowing us to set up a small x-pen.
We have stayed here a number of years but this year found that the park seemed to be short on staff. We saw more litter, bathrooms were not kept up as often, and floors were dirty. The expansion at the park is very nice accommodating more rigs. They are very dog friendly here.
We stayed here to attend the annual Reno Kennel Club dog show and found the sites quite comfortable with very nice staff. There isn't a lot of shade and it can get windy. Our TV antenna worked fine. The casino was very close and all the sites were clean. Although we were on gravel (by choice), we liked our site along the river.
What a wonderful & large park. A lot for kids to do and very friendly staff. This KOA is located right across the street from Fort Stevens State Park and made for a nice central 'home' spot while we went sightseeing. Very dog friendly, too!
