OK for the money. Our rate reflected a promo rate. This is a typical casino RV park with good facilities, excellant laundry, swimming pool, etc. If you are in a motorhome of any length spring for a few extra bucks and get a 70' pull thru site otherwise the 40' sites are very close together. We have stayed here 3 times and have not seen a reason to look anywhere else.
There is really no reason to stay anywhere else during a visit to Lubbock, overnight or otherwise. We checked in after an unpleasant experience at another park close by and were very happy we did so. All facilities are as advertised and despite the traffic relatively close by it was quiet. Also very reasonable rates. May seem close to some but I watched three 40' rigs plug up with no problem. We will definitely stay here again.
We tried to spend the night in a 35" rig. Very confusing entry and if you follow the signs to the office, you are going to wind up in a dead end, take the car off and turn around situation. The office closes at 5:00PM. When we called the office number, we were assigned a circular pull through, and told to stick the money in the door. When we found the spot, it was on a slope too steep for my jacks to handle. I departed and found another park. This one is adequate, mostly permanent residences, all facilities. I just won't stay here anymore, too much of a hassle when there is a really good park right around the corner.
An excellent spot for an over night stay. Shady, level, pull-throughs. Gravel interior roads a little rough in spots, go slow, gravel sites. This is our second stay here, once for an overnight, now we are staying for three days to wait out the Memorial Day madness. It's close to I-40 but the noise is tolerable and close to an airport that seems to be seldom used. We are enjoying a peaceful stay and would stay here again.
An older KOA that has been maintained and upgraded. Offers all of the standard amenities plus pizza in the office and free coffee in the morning. Gravel interior roads and sites which are level. My only comment is that it is a bit pricey. It seems that all of the KOA's are at the high end of the rate scale, that's why we avoid them when we can. We would stay here again.
The negative comments in previous reviews are valid to some extent. There is a sewage treatment plant but we never smelled it, the pet walk is across the street but we don't have pets, there is some traffic noise and the train comes by at 5:30 in the morning. That being said, this is a park of semi-permanent (permanent?) residents that is in an urban environment. It is clean and offers all of the normal amenities and has perfect facilities for those that want an easy off-on one or two (or more)night park at a very reasonable price. We have stayed here twice, once last year for a week and this time for five days and would stay here again. Just keep in mind that they call themselves a RV PARK, not a resort.
OK for an overnight. Level concrete pads for pull-throughs, easy in and out, maybe a little narrow. NO Verizon cell phone service. NO Verizon wireless available. NO cable TV but good broadcast TV and we didn't go there for the TV or cell phone anyway, just a quick overnight stop. A little pricey for what is offered. We would stop here again.
All the necessities at a reasonable PA fee. No picnic tables, no fire ring, etc., but a good overnight spot if you are traveling through, or here for the shopping at the discount mall. Has gravel access roads, grass sites but spacious and comfortable. Owners live on the premises and a very helpful campground host gets you parked. We stayed here three nights at the Passport America rate and an additional night at the regular rate of $30 which is a little pricey for the facilities offered but there are very reasonable weekly and monthly rates available. We will stay here again.
Excellent overnight spot with easy access from I-10 or for 2-3 nights to visit Naval Aviation Museum as we did. Closest and easiest to the museum via the back gate. Good paved interior roads, level, gravel pull-thrus. Will stay there again.
