The campground was a little older and a bit noisy (directly off the interstate). For an overnight stay it was fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although the sites were a little small they were laid out well for easy access with plenty of pull-throughs. We would stay here again when traveling through middle Tennessee.
We stayed here as simple overnight guests - but had to replace an alternator on the truck so stayed an extra day. The staff was very friendly and live next to the office. The camp and restrooms were clean and very usable. Once we left the campgrounds we stopped by their Sales/Service department to get our water heater looked at (it didn't seem to be working correctly). They immediately went out to the RV showed me what the problem was and refused to take payment!! I would highly recommend anyone traveling through the Russellville area that is in need of RV servicing to give Outdoor Living (directly off I-40) a shot.
My family and I had planned to only stay here over night on our way to CA. Our truck broke down as we were pulling off the interstate (1/2 mile from camp). In the end we stayed here for 7 days while the truck was being repaired. Overall our experience was near perfect here. The owners are extremely friendly and even loaned me a ladder so I could review my roof while I had nothing better to do with my time. The town, Santa Rosa, is very small but friendly. The campgrounds, while simple, were exceptionally clean. The bathhouse and restroom were as clean as we have ever seen at a campground. The sites were spotless (although a little dusty as the roads and sites are all gravel). This isn't a destination campground - more like an overnight stop along I-40 and Route 66 - but for us it became a much longer stay. All in all, we were very happy with the campgrounds and would definitely stop in again (hopefully for not quite as long next time).
