This campground is definitely geared to the seasonal camper, as approximately 80-90% of the sites are seasonal. Some of them are very well kept and others look like they have been there for years with little regard to their appearance. We talked to some seasonal campers and they said that in the last year there have been some big changes for the better, when the campground was sold. They had only good things to say about the current manager. It appeared to us that the changes that were happening involved adding some park model units that will be rented, and some of the sites appeared to be in the progress of being worked on. Some of these were previous seasonal sites with old add-a-rooms still on the site (ugly). This place has potential as it has a great white sand beach with shallow water which I'm sure is great for kids. We stayed on site H-4, one row back from the beach. It was between two seasonal campers. The site itself was OK sized and nearly level (one row of leveling blocks), but it was mostly all sand so was very dirty. Utilities were well marked and worked without problems. There is no cable TV, but you can pick up several channels from the Norfolk area via antenna. The town of Matthews is about 10 miles and has a Food Lion and other necessities.

Very clean and neat small campground. New owners appear to be making positive changes. Site 17 was level and the utilities were easily accessible. No cable or internet, but some local TV channels. Very convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway (1 mile) and not that far to Lynchburg.

After reading some of the older reviews of this campground and the treatment by the office personnel I was a bit leery. Turns out that the guy in the office was a pleasure to work with and can't possibly be the same person that others had problems with. I was expecting to be crammed into a small sandy site with no shade but was pleasantly surprised to find a nice sized site with a tree (C6) and grass, on the canal. We had a nice view of the sound and the breeze kept the bugs away. The pool was nice. I can't comment on the rest rooms as I never used them during our stay. The cable TV and the Wi-Fi worked fine.

Very unique RV resort! Absolutely spotless! We were on site 2 which has a waterwheel and a large elevated deck. Super easy to back into, and site is absolutely level. The owner is a genuinely nice person that really did an outstanding job of building this park, and his wife (didn't meet her) makes great muffins!

Small campground not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Getting there can be a challenge as the roads are quite steep, twisty and narrow. We were on site 33 which was a pull through, but in order to get off the site I had to go through a site across the road due to trees (thankfully no one was using it). Site itself was shaded and appeared to have fresh gravel, almost level. Roads are very narrow and in need of work (severely rutted in places). Grounds were generally very clean. We were there during the week and it was very quiet. WARNING: If you are towing or in a motorhome and your GPS attempts to take you on Campbell Mountain Road, DO NOT take this road. It is directly off the Parkway with a sign pointing to RT 56, and is immediately dirt and loose gravel, becomes very steep, twisty, no guard rails with steep drop offs, generally pretty scary.

Very clean park. Roads are VERY narrow. Site was large, fairly level and utilities were well placed. LOTS of dogs and kids as well as seasonal campers. Cable TV and WiFi good. Quite a long way off the main road (seven miles from RT 209) on a twisting hilly road, not sure it's worth the drive or the nightly fee.

Almost totally seasonal campers with a handful of back to back transient sites. Roads are all dirt and narrow. Site was level but all hard packed sand so it makes for a dirty trailer. Site was very large but utilities were a total guessing game, we ended up using someones else's water and the sewer did not have a connector on it so I had to put weight on the hose so it wouldn't come out. No cable TV and on air is sketchy at best. Wi-Fi worked OK. Pretty noisy at night even after "quiet time".

Very clean park. Site was almost level. Utilities weren't marked real well but worked ok. Cable TV and WiFi good. Only real complaint is the glaring street lamps at night, kind of ruins the outdoor experience. We were here during the week so it was pretty quiet, don't know about weekends. Lots of seasonal campers. My navigation system (Ford F-150) took me through the middle of East Stroudsburg on RT 209 Business, so if you have a big rig you may want to check your route.

This is one of the cleanest RV parks I have ever stayed in! Even though this park was just off of I-81 you could not hear the noise from the road as a hill, with cattle grazing, provides a sound barrier. The rest rooms are immaculate! Great place to stop off of I-81.

A nice clean park. The pnly problem is that all of the full hookup sites are side by side, that is one RV faces one way next RV faces the other, leaving about 4 feet between units for both units hookups.

Our site had trash on the ground (cans, discarded gloves for sewer), no cover on the sewer connection. There were four wheelers and motor bikes running up and down the roads.
