Wow, hard to believe we stayed in the same park as the previous reviews. We had a premium site on the river with a nice view. Cost us $2000.00 for the month of Feb., high even for in season. Sites are pavered, but tight, especially with all the palms growing over into the patio area. Landscaped? More like a jungle. Could use some work. We were told by neighbors before we left our Naples, FL campground that this is a noisy park. Figured they meant traffic noise which we don't mind. They meant the people in the park. Campground is so close together you can hear everything your neighbors say. Very annoying. Laundry is small. There are few planned activities. Pool is nice. Some sites have been bought and are overrun with planters, dog pens, patio furniture, grills, etc. and look tacky. It is close to Anna Maria Island. It's mostly the same group of snowbirds that come down year after year. We're full time RVers, & this would never be one of our favorite parks.

Given the previous reviews we decided to stay here a few nights on our way further south. We were very disappointed. Yes, the folks are friendly, but the campground is run down, sites are close together and mixed among them are shabby mobile homes. There were a couple of large coaches there but, I wouldn't say they are big-rig friendly. Entrance and roads were narrow. There are no showers and although the restroom was clean, the laundry machines were dirty. You can fish the river from the campground, but there's no lake just a little pond. It's located way off the beaten path. There are nicer campgrounds easier to get to on US41. We wouldn't stay here again.

The park itself is great. Nice sites, restrooms, showers & laundry. Rate was even less a night because we stayed a 2nd month. All that & we won't stay again. It's not near anything. It's a good hour drive to a decent grocery or any kind of shopping or dining out. Belle Glade is the nearest town & it's in bad shape. There's nothing there. We found that all around Lake Okeechobee is pretty run down. And although the sugar cane fields are interesting at first, you'll soon be sorry about all the ash on & in your RV. If you have a boat & fish this is a great park. Easy access to the lake. But for us the park didn't work.

This is an old campground kept in nice shape. Sites are fairly level & far enough apart. Nice thing about campground is how close it is to amusement park & race track/casino. Easy on/off interstate. Laundry & showers old, but clean. We stayed on our way to & from Alaska in May & Sept. Wasn't very busy then, but probably full during the summer months. We'd stay again.

This is a so so campground right off the Glenn Hwy. Showers & restrooms are old semi boxes. It was OK for one night, and is probably really busy when the salmon run. It's on the Copper River. Most of the sites are level pull throughs. We'd use it again as an overnight stop if going that way.

OK campground. Sites fairly level, clean showers & restrooms. Back sites get a lot of noise from interstate. To get to campground have to drive back on a couple of country roads. Campground is not off exit. Thought it was kind of expensive, not much to do or near anything. It's more of a one night stopover place to us.

This is an average campground with easy on/off I-90. Restrooms & laundry are very clean. Sites are about average width. Fairly level gravel with grassy areas in between. Nice drive to Devils Tower, about 45 minutes. Staff friendly & informative. We'd stay again.

Nice little park with easy on/off interstate. Older campground, but kept up. Sites wide enough for awning to be out comfortably. Large, mature shade trees. Staff is very helpful. We stayed here twice, on way to & from Alaska. Laundry & restrooms were clean. We'd stay again anytime.

It was early in season: we pretty much had park to ourselves. Got a good rate because of it too. Easy to get too. Great view of Black Hills at end of park. Grass sites a little narrow, but didn't effect us while here. Could get tight when busier. Easy drive to all the attractions. Host was very friendly. Had lots of info to share on area. Showers old, but kept clean. We'll stay again when in the area.

This is not a RV park, it's a fishing camp. If you're not fishing don't stay here. There are nicer RV parks in the area. And cheaper. Even with Good Sam it was $50 a night. The most expensive in Alaska so far. When they say it's near "old town" they mean there are run down apartments on 2 sides. When you read narrow sites believe it. We walked out our front door right into our neighbors sewer hookup. Not very pleasant. There's maybe 24 inches between our slide and our neighbors to the left. No way can you put an awing out or sit outside. And don't be fooled about seeing the mountains, the inlet or the river. Unless you walk to the bluffs all you'll see is the RV next to you. Even the sites advertised as "with a view" look through a thick stand of trees. They have free cable TV, but you need a converter for it to work with HD TV's and you won't have HD when you hook it up. If you're not fishing and you're bigger than 30 feet: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PARK!

Nice little campground on the Glenn Hwy. Gravel sites of average width. Free cable TV and Wi-Fi. We received a discount for staying 8 nights. Laundry is just 2 washers and dryers, space is pretty tight. Park is near Matasuka glacier. You can hike a short trail to an overlook of the glacier and Lion's Head Mtn. Across the road from the park you can watch Dall sheep up on the mountains. Will need binoculars. They're way up there. Hosts and help are really friendly. Great little cafe here that serves good food. Try the carrot cake. This is a good place to get away from it all for a few days. We'd stay again.

We were here for a month. Rate was $594 plus $49 for cable TV. There are nice tent sites available and some of the water/elec only sites on the river aren't bad. Scattered throughout are permanent sites in different stages of upkeep. As for the full hookups, there's a reason you don't see any site pictures on their website. They're very close together. We had about 2 feet between our awning and the next trailer's slideout. Water hookups are hard to identify. Just a pipe coming out of the ground with Y valves on them. Our sewer was uphill from our trailer. Not the best for dumping. Sites are dirt and rock with lots of tree roots. Hard to level. Bathhouse is old, but clean. If you tube or fish the river this place is for you. But there's no major shopping unless you go to Traverse City. The Lake Michigan beach is in Frankfort. And Sleeping Bear NP is at least a 30 minute drive away. This campground is ok for a weeks vacation, but I wouldn't recommend it for a month's stay.

We're full timers and spent 9 weeks at this campground because it was close to the things we needed to get done while "home". This campground doesn't live up to it's full potential. The main road is newly paved, but the side roads are gravel & full of deep pot holes. It's very dusty when dry & little ponds form when it rains. Although the restrooms & showers have been redone, the laundry room is awful. Folks wash dog beds, muddy rugs and all kinds of things there. I had sheets come out of a dryer with bubble gum on them. There is a fishing pond with a beach for swimming, but not used much. There's a clubhouse, but no activities are ever planned. Although most of the permanent residents are in a separate area, there are still a lot of permanent sites mixed in with the others. And they just aren't very well kept up. There were problems with cable while we were there, so channels were limited. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, but they work other jobs & can't give their full attention to this campground. We would stay again, but not for any length of time.

This park is terrible. No restrooms or showers. No laundry. Didn't even have water for a few hours the night we stayed here. Sites are concrete pads close together. They're stair-stepped next to each other, but that doesn't help. Poor gravel roads in park. Restaurant associated with this park is awful. Can't believe they get $30 a night. Being near the interstate is the only reason to stay here.

Stayed 3 nights. Advertises closest to Hot Springs. Not any closer than the KOA across the road. About 15 minutes to town. Park is a little bit run down. Creek runs around one edge of park. Pretty. Everything is gravel: road, sites. Owner is friendly enough, but thought $35 a night was expensive for what you get. Would probably stay again, but not more than a week.

We stayed 2 nights. Has clean restrooms, small laundry. Advertises cable TV, but none available. Sites are level concrete pads, close together. Has a nice fishing pond, big club house. Not near the interstate. There is road noise for sites located at front of park. We would stay again, but not for any length of time.

A friendly park. Sites are gravel, some sites in nicer areas than others. Forget TV reception. Inexpensive, but you do pay electric. Not near anything, but park has lots of activities. Staff was very helpful when changing residency. Took us just 4 hours to get everything done, but we had all our paperwork and documents ready and with us. OK park, but we wouldn't stay again unless we had to.

Stayed here 2 nights. It is expensive. Not near anything but the interstate. Gravel sites are close together. Has newly planted trees, but for now sunny with no shade available. Would only use as an overnight site.

Stayed 4 weeks, the surrounding neighborhood is ok, still rebuilding from Katrina. Can see Keesler AFB gate from park entrance. Concrete sites are fairly close together. Has a small pool, nice size laundry, clean showers and restrooms. Small clubhouse with some weekly activities. Approximately 10 minutes to beaches, and 20 minutes to casinos. Staff friendly. Would stay again.

This is our 2nd winter here. It's very expensive. Sites are narrow and close together, but landscaping between sites helps. Some sites flood when it rains hard. Has a small pool, small laundry, restrooms, but no showers, a nice club house, lots of activities. That being said it's rather clicky. Lots of Canadians. It is the closest RV park to Naples. Liked it, but we won't stay again because of the cost. Have to pay in full before you arrive.

We loved this park and campground. Most of the sites are large, level and separated by pine trees for privacy. Facilities are clean. Road is paved. Our camp host was very friendly. Park is restored tallgrass prairie with easy to moderate walking trails. Great playgrounds for kids and a paved 3 mile bike/hike trail. Definitely will stay again.

Nice campground near the interstate. Some road noise. Some seasonal sites. We stayed 1 night. Showers & restrooms old, but clean. Sites were level. We were there towards the end of the season, but looked like they had a nice pool, playground and gave train rides through the summer. We would go back again for a longer stay.

Just stayed one night. Easy on/off from interstate. Didn't use showers or restrooms. Didn't appear to have much there other than driving range. Park is kind of hilly. Looked like there were more than a few seasonal sites. Nothing around that would make us want to stay for any length of time.

Very kids oriented campground. Looked like lots for them to do. We were just passing through, stayed 1 night. Sites level. Showers & toilets were clean, but old. Course we camped near the end of the season and park was far from full. Close to interstate.

Great campground. Nice beach for swimming in summer. We stayed for 10 days in the fall. Rented nice boat for fishing. Lake is huge. Trees were in their fall colors and very pretty. Had fun driving the back roads taking in the beautiful views. Pair of bald eagles nested near by & we watched them fishing most mornings. Showers & toilets are old, but kept very clean. Recommend this park to everyone!

We love this park. Showers & toilets are new & kept spotless. River front sites are very popular & great for watching the freighters. Close to downtown with shopping, dinning and the Soo Locks. We found the people running the park friendly. Reservations are a good idea.

We (two adults) spent month in UP and liked this campground a lot except for the restroom & shower facilities. They were awful. Need a bunch of work. Otherwise nice big sites, pretty beach, close to attractions, we would definitely stay again.

This campground isn't close to anything except a joining casino. Good drive to get to any of the attractions. Facilities are clean, but campground roads are dirt and very rutted. Trees immature, no shade. Good as one night stay if passing thru area. We're adults, no kids, wouldn't stay again.

Huge park, we stayed last week in May so not very crowed yet. Everything clean. Sites are close together. If you get one on the end of the row facing lake very nice. Great view. We would stay again off season.
