Paved with concrete throughout. Army Morale, Welfare, and Recreation NAF personnel were outstanding. Plenty of room, quiet, and policed by the Fort Bliss MPs. In sight of the AAFES shopette/Class VI. US 54 is right there for access to the city. Beautiful views, privacy fence from the surface street. The next time I am in west Texas, I will stop there. Stayed through the holidays to visit with family. Excellent value.
This campground is on Camp Joseph T. Robinson, an Army Post of the Arkansas National Guard. The "old" side is 30 amp, the pads are short because the park was constructed when most folk pulled smaller trailers. The "new" side is full pull throughs, for big 5th wheels and motor coaches.
The contact that I had with staff amounted to a terse exchange with the on-duty attendant. He had a strong accent, and we had trouble communicating. The campground itself is rather tight, and I pull a 32' travel trailer behind a half-ton. The cable television did not work, and I was loathe to complain because I did not want another encounter with the attendant. As for location, the campground is very close to Walmart, to Interstate 20, and all of the Vicksburg historical sites. While touring the area, I noticed about a half-dozen other RV parks. If/when I return to Vicksburg, I will try one of those.
