We stayed one night on the way to Florida and found this to be an excellent place to stay. The folks at the office were really nice and helpful. The spaces were paved, level, and wide enough to make it easy to drop off and hook up. Close to restaurants and fuel stops. Easy off and on to Interstate with no noticeable noise. Although it was an overnight for us, there is a lot of things to see and do in the area. I would definitely stay again and for more than a night if it would work out with my schedule.
Nice quiet park with shade trees right off the interstate. Little road noise, and owners were helpful and friendly. Nice relaxing park. Not sure how it would be if crowded, but since it wasn't, there was a lot of space between units. It looked like some back to back sites, but I did not see anyone situated like that. I would stay again if passing through.
With all of the great ratings, I was sure this was the place to pick in the Rushmore area. Not quite. The staff was nice, and we were shown to our site. They advertise a water park with water slide and 2 pools which they have. One pool is just large enough to land in from the slide and the other is a really small pool. Not my idea of a water park. The laundry had a limited number of machines, and some were out of order. There are some good sites. Mine was not. My site required some leveling, and when you stepped off the steps, you had to be careful as there was a fairly steep incline with no real landing. We stayed in the part of the park next to Beaver Lake Rd. Don't make that mistake. There was no shade, and it is next to a very busy dirt road where traffic roars by at all hours. If it is dry, the dust clouds created are terrible. It took a lot to finally get my 5th wheel and truck clean. It is also a little too far away from the places I wanted to visit. Next time I would stay closer to Rapid City or at least Keystone but definitely not here. Very disappointed especially with all the great ratings.
This was an excellent campground for viewing the Grand Tetons. A short stroll to the lake will give you some fantastic views. The sites are gravel and may take a small effort to level. All of the sites were pull-through. It got down to 36 degrees with spitting snow in early June so have warm clothes. Well stocked grocery store, nice restaurant, fuel station on site. Costs are too high but okay for a short stay. I would stay again.
A nice quiet campground during the weekdays. A lot more busy during the weekend. Off the beaten path and limited facilities but a very scenic and well kept park. You can tell the gent who runs it cares a great deal for this campground and it shows. I would give it a 9-10 but with only 30 amp and no water or sewer makes it less. Still a great place to overnight. Sites are spacious and level. Would stay again if in the area.
Excellent COE Campground on a beautiful lake. People were friendly, sites were level and spacious. Marina close by. Deer everywhere in the evening. Off the beaten path and very quiet. Bought tomatoes and cabbage at a farm close by that were great. Even without cable or Wi-Fi, it is still a 10.
We arrived on the Sunday before Memorial Day. No one was around to help us with anything and the gate was locked. We waited until someone keyed in the code to get out and slipped in. We knew our site number when we made the reservation so we just set up. Overall a nice campground on a small river but when we went the grass needed cutting badly. Probably a good spot if you were having your RV worked on. Okay for overnight.
