We were not disappointed; WC is really nice. We were way back in the park and although we had neighbors we felt like everything was quiet and relaxed, even seeing security a few times. Walking along the bike trails was awesome! Could have easily walked to fishing. The place has a beautiful forest setting. We look forward to going back.
We wanted to try this campground due to its amenities. The word campground really doesn't come to mind after our visit. This is a resort for permanent sites with a shameful excuse for traveling RV'ers. People who own there probably like it fine. Sites are small, crowded with trees which makes slide outs a real challenge, and they created sites in between where most other campgrounds would not have. We had read poor reviews about cleanliness so we avoided those places and visually they were not good. This place is not for us so we will not go back.
This campground has a lot going on and therefore is fairly hard to get a reservation at...which probably means a lot of repeat visitors. Kids less than 8 probably like the activities the most. We had a great time, very family friendly and the hosts go above and beyond. We plan to stay here again to use the pool and water slides which look we'll kept. With so many people camping here the bath houses get a lot of use...otherwise the score would be higher. Give Yogi a try!
We have stayed here a few times during the week and had a great time. We hear weekends get crowded but not enough to avoid staying here. The water slide may be the fastest I've tried in a long time. Camping conditions were fine. Most good sites are backed up to Steele Creek, which you can also play in. A family friendly place that we will go back to more than once a season. Take some money. It does get pricey.
