This park was in a great location. Walking distance to downtown Hot Springs and the spa. The Appalachian Trail goes through the town and along the river, so I was able to accomplish a goal by "hiking" the AP. The bathhouses were minimal, but not a problem since there were sewer hookups. Great little town and beautiful location so we would probably stay here again.
This was our first stay in a State park, and we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was wonderful! The site that we had was on a peninsula with lake views on three sides. The park is beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. Deer were plentiful as well as wild turkeys. We would definitely camp here again.
This was a beautiful location near Gatlinburg and the personnel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Trolley stop for transportation to downtown Gatlinburg was located at the entrance to the campground and the trolley system was very well organized and easy to use. Great restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely return when in the area.
