This is a great park. All parking spaces are concrete paved, with nice grass in the remainder of the areas. Has easy access in and around the park. We will be back
Very pretty campground. Narrow roads. Connections for our site were at the very back of the site, so we needed 30' of sewer hose. However, when I reported to the camp manager that the 50 amp power connection was putting out 128 volts on one leg and 133 volts on the other, which had my surge protector turning off the power, they just shook their head. Said it was the power company problem. Nothing they could do about it, and why did I worry about 133 volts anyway. That shouldn't hurt anything. When I told them that my surge protector also showed an open ground on their 30 amp connection, they just dismissed it as not relevant. Will not stay here again.
We thought this campground was fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were told to take the first dirt road with the one-way sign. Apparently the staff had heard about people who couldn't read maps. Actually, I looked several times and the maps are correct. We will be back.
This campground is fantastic for an overnight stop between central Texas and El Paso. That is all it is, an overnight stop. The $10 rate is paid in cash, based on Passport America membership. DO NOT make a reservation on line. The $18 charged to my credit card by Reservation Friends disappeared, and the phone number for that company has a voice mail that all customer service people are busy with other customers.
There are four concrete pads at the entrance to the site, but access to those pads is nearly impossible. The receptionist told us we could take our 42' motorhome around the paths of the campsite to come back into the site we were assigned. She didn't tell us that the paths were passable to smaller rigs, but not designed for big rigs. Swimming pool was green. Owner was pleasant, when he was at the campground. Will not go back again, under any circumstances.
