Nice clean park. Sites are on the small side. Grass on both sides with concrete pad for the RV and asphalt and a steel picnic table on one side. Only not so nice thing is the sewer connection for the site to your right is in the grass near your table. Shuttle to the casino is a phone call away. Staff is friendly and helpful. Area is beautiful. For those with pets that don't like loud noises there is a private gun range within hearing distance. We were there four days and heard noise from there a couple times and only for a short while. Would not let that stop us from returning.
The park is very clean and well run. The sites are level and the staff is frindley and easy to deal with. Only drawback is the sites are very close together. Our site was long enough for our 38' 5th wheel and tow vehicle without unhooking. The staff member who helped us park was knowledgeable about RVs and getting them to fit into small spaces without damage. The site next to us had a Class A with it's awning out and we were inches from it while backing in. Will probably not stay here again just because of the size of our rig and the small sites. The interior roads were designed so that the large rigs can get around with little or no trouble and there were several 40' Class A motorhones in the park.
Stayed two nights on our way to Oregon and one night on the way back a week later. Office staff is friendly and helpful. Park is VERY quiet, clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this park. Riverfront sites are not right on the river (about 100 feet away) but the view of the river beyond a lush green lawn with many shade trees is a sight to see.
Tough to rate. Office staff is very friendly and mostly helpful. New section is clean and generally easy to get around in. Pet friendly is a big plus. Tenants are also friendly and helpful. The park has esay access to US101 and Stanford Hospital is an easy 5 miles away. Only frustration is the WiFi. They use Tengo internet and access is hard to figure out. One time its easy, next time you can spend hours and not get anywhere. I asked the office about the issue and they just looked at the lights on the equipment and said it was working. Frustrating being near the heart of Silicone Vally and have that kind of internet issues. Note: next campground we visited also used Tengo internet and we had no problems logging on.
This park is well done. Sites are clean, flat, and relatively easy to get into. The staff is friendly and helpful. At our site one leg of the 50 amp service was dead. Told the clerk at the desk, and she sent a repair guy out within a few minutes. Down side is the freeway and train noise mostly when outside the trailer. Dog friendly as long as you stay inside the park. Walking paths go out from the park, but dogs are not allowed on the trails. All attractions are at least a 30 minute drive from the park with the exception if El Capitan State Beach which is just about a mile away ($10 entry fee). Wi-Fi was available but at some sites the signal was blocked by trees. The office staff said they are working on overcoming that issue.
Friendly helpful staff in the office and grounds keepers. Sites are clean and raked after each camper checks out. Grounds keepers asked if you need help if they see you hooking up or unhooking. ATT cell service was not available at the campground but about a mile west we had great reception. Unknown about other cell carriers.
Great park, office staff/registration is quick and easy. All check-in clerks were helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. Entire park is clean and well maintained. Some long term tenants working on the power plant but you wouldn't know it unless you asked as all sites clean and all RVs are in good to excellent condition.
Great little park. Not all sites are big rig friendly. Our 38' 5er did OK but some sites and turns were a little tight. Staff is friendly and helpful. Casino with gas and diesel a few miles south on 97 is big rig friendly. Will return.
Great park. Front area has hook up site. In the back are a lot of primitave sites. Most of the sites have trees/brush to screen your from neighbors. Staff is very firendly and accomidating. Will return.
Great park. 50 amp would have earned it a 10. Our site had a view of the launch ramp. As much fun to watch as the dump station and smells better. Lots of shade. Campground volunteers are friendly. Check in staff was challenged. Friends came in a night early, their reserved campsite was vacant, check in people would not let them pay the extra night, had to come back the next day to check in to the same site again. Seems trying to figure that out was beyond the clerk. Will stay again.
Second stay at this campground this year. More of the long term residents have left so there are a few more campsites open. A few of the sites are tight but can be accessed with a little help from the neighbors. Campground owners are on site and are friendly, approachable and have a positive, helpful attitude. The campground is very clean and well maintained. Cable is not yet to all the sites but you can see progress. A few (10) sites are water and electric only and are easy to get into. Wi-Fi is still only available at the office with chairs and tables provided for its use. There is a "swimming hole" in the river on the property.
What a great place. Read some of the early reviews and was a little apprehensive but what a great find. This park is clean, quiet and easy to get around in. The road to the park, (Hwy. 198 and North Fork Drive) are easy to navigate. The owner is on site. He and the staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The sites are mostly level with gravel parking and a concrete pad with new picnic tables. Plenty of shade in most all sites. The waterfront sites are no more than 30' from the edge of the river with nothing to impede access. Pet friendly. Our new favorite place to go in the spring and fall.
Spent one night passing through. The lady I spoke with by telephone when I called to ask about space was very nice and helpful The young lady at the desk at check-in gets a 10 for friendliness and helpfulness. This park is a very easy on/off I-5 and very good if you are staying for an overnight breather. They advertise cable TV and although the sites have cable hook-up, the other end of the cable has not yet reached the park. The Wi-Fi signal was unusable(20%)in site 108. The long term section is at the north end and not mixed with the short term tenants. Overall the park is clean and neat, easy to navigate with very wide roads.
You read that right: ONLY 2 SITES and both are back in. No modem, WiFi, cable, restrooms or showers. WiFi and a computer kiosk are available at the visitor center and at the main office. The two sites are next to each other. Nearest people are over 1000 feet away at the guest cabins and they're not always occupied. If you are looking for quiet, wilderness camping with the luxury of good clean electrical, water and sewer, this is it. I believe the sites are new this year. Pads are level. Only downside was the layout. Site 2 had no picnic table and the table at site 1 was on the wrong side. Neither site had the room to move the table to the proper side of the pad to be useful to the trailer door. The layout seemed to work well for the slide in camper in site 1. Make it a worthwhile trip and volunteer at the Best Friends organization for a day or two.
Very clean and well laid out park. Roads are paved or gravel and well maintained. Walking distance to old town and some attractions. Staff was helpful and friendly on the phone when I made reservations. The WiFi did come and go for no discernable reason. We will definitely stay there again and highly recommend this campground.
