This park is not a destination but it is a very nice park for resting a few days. The park is under different management and they don't honor the rates in their website or the discounts but it is still worth the rate. All the utilities were great, Verizon air card, and Verizon cell, and their Wi-Fi all worked great. Across the highway from the park is a grocery store with everything you will need. Gravel drive and our site #23 was level. At our site we had very little road noise. We will return.
We enjoyed our stay here and had great services. All utilities worked, Wi-Fi and TV were OK , good level pads with nice shade. But the best part was the views, outstanding. Very friendly staff that was very helpful with route directions and the sites to see in town.We loved the trolley system that came to the park, use it, its great. The only reason that we didn't give this park a 10 was the lack of washers and dryers. There were only 3 washers and four dryers, and there was always a line. We plan to go back but stay longer next time.
This is a hard park for me to rate. The location was good easy in and out had good utilities, TV and air card worked. The host were rather reserve, not unfriendly but not friendly either. The RR and showers were old and not the cleanest. Sites were close enough with trees to be difficult to get out. We would return until we found another campsite.
If people find out what a gem this park is, you won't be able to get a reservation. Clean, quiet, shady, level, everything we want and it's easy to get into and out. Don't know about TV or aircard as we didn't stay inside. We stayed for 2 days and next time we plan to stay for a week. We found nothing bad at this park from the time we checked in until we left. There are great park rangers, staff and visitors.
We planned to stay for one night but stayed for 3.This turned out to be the best park in which we have ever stayed. Plenty of room from all sides and the cleanest park, no trash, dog droppings or dirty restrooms and showers: everything was spotless. The lake was beautiful with great trees. A very friendly host and all guests where very nice. We plan to return this next year, and to stay at least a week. Our satellite and aircard worked well.
The best thing about this park is the restrooms and showers. They are at the top of the list in well-kept restrooms. The sad thing about this camp is the clutter all around the grounds. The walking area around the campsites are littered with cigarette butts, beer tops, bottle tops, etc. The circle campsites back into each other and the only good campsites don't have sewer hookups. The view of the lake was great, but the alligators kept us from going swimming. Yes, the lake has gators. Next time we will stay at the state park across the hwy.
We were impressed, with the very clean park, friendly staff, good roads and trimmed trees. The lake was low but very nice to look at and the wildlife was in plenty. We stayed 3 nights and plan to return when the weather cools off some. We parked at # 123 but we also liked #s 107-113.
A great park! Everything worked that supposed to. The spaces have a huge amount of distance between each other. The guest were very quiet and friendly and the owners are the best. The pull thru are the largest that we have seen. The Wi-Fi worked great. I would recommend this park very much and plan to return.
We had heard a lot of different views about Goliad park and we weren't disappointed . We timed our visit around Market Days in Goliad and had a ball . It is a great park for us with great sites and hookups . We will be back for relaxation and some more of that terrific jalopeno soup at the Blue Quail cafe in town.
