Great NPS CG! Clean restrooms, very friendly staff. A-Loop allows generators and seems to have bigger sites. A-loop is also closer to the Gros Ventre River for a nice walk and/or trout fishing. This is our 3rd time staying here and will be back. Hopefully your rig is sealed up pretty good. Apparently ours is not and we had some mice get in. Learned a good lesson to always carry a few traps and peanut butter with me when we travel. A nice man from Wisconsin let us have a few traps and we got rid of our problem.
Location, location, location!! Great central location to the Lake, Canyon, Tower areas of the park. It is certainly nice to have a few nights with hook-ups after 7 straight without! Yes, the spaces are no doubt, very tight. Had another large 5th wheel behind us, close enough that I could not walk my bike around the one side to get to the bike rack. Some sites will not allow full use of your awning. Bring mosquito spray in summer, lots of them out in the evenings! We have now camped here 5 times over the last 9 years and will keep coming back. We go to Yellowstone to enjoy the park, not sit around in camp all day. The teens with us used the free shower facility credits that we got, a nice thing they did not have last trip here. Don't be fooled by all the negative comments on previous reviews. If you are one that wants to be out all day seeing the park from a great central location that also offers hook-ups, this is your place!! We will definitely be back again!
One of our favorite places to stay! Great NPS CG w/o hook-ups. No showers, but clean restrooms. Pretty crowded and full every night this time of year. Make reservations early! Short walk down to the Madison/Firehole rivers for a soaking! Great central location for the Old Faithful and Mammoth areas of the park. We'll be back!
What a gem this park is!! One of the most beautiful National Park CG settings we have experienced! Staff was very friendly and restrooms were very clean. If you have a sizeable rig, get there early!! There are people cruising the park in the morning to get one of the larger sites that are in the front near the meadow and lake. Drove the loops twice before we found a great site. A lot of sites in the inner loops will not accommodate an RV or trailer, especially anything over 25'. Kind of a bummer that the big sites that can accommodate a big rig can be taken up by a tent. But, it is "first come first served" and the sites are as much their right as anybody else. The store and boat dock area are great and an easy walk or bike ride away. We will definitely be back!
Great National Park CG. No hook-ups, but clean restrooms and friendly staff. No showers. Walking distance to visitor center and shuttle bus route to the GTSR. Have stayed here in the past and will do so again.
Location cannot be beat! Very close to all amenities in town either by walking or bike. Pull-through sites with full hook-ups (30amp). Always thought it was wierd having the sewer hook-up in the middle of the space under your trailer? Grass in between the sites. Staff is very nice/helpful. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Only downside is that the restrooms appeared as though they are only cleaned once per day. With how busy this CG is, a few times a day would make things nicer.
Have always been very happy to stop here for a night or two on our way back home to Arizona. VERY nice resort with a great pool and very clean restrooms/showers. A little on the spendy side, but you get what you pay for. Definitely would not stay anywhere but Oasis when we have the RV in town.
Great location for a 1 night stop on way to or from Yellowstone/Tetons from Arizona. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Great small pool and hot tub. Grass in between sites. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful! We now have a new location to stop at on similar trips in the future.
What a great USFS campground! One of the best we have stayed in. Absolutely beautiful country! Water and electric only, no sewer hook-ups and no dump station available, be prepared! Hosts were VERY friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is gorgeous, the Towns of Redstone and Marble are must-sees! We had Space #17 that was an absolutely HUGE pull through with privacy and lots of space. Campsites here are really spread out. Easy driving distance to Aspen, about an hour. Will definitely be back some day!
Fantastic park to stay! Very scenic, right on the Dolores River. Most river sites have grass in between. People that work here are very friendly. Quite a few folks that are staying for several weeks. Quite a few expensive rigs camped in there! Pretty nice to sit right along the river in front of your fire ring in the evenings! We'll be back!
Only 10 mins. South of Helena right off I-15 in Clancy, MT. Fantastic spot for 1-night stop or more. Stream runs through Cg and fishing for 8-12" brown, brook, rainbow trout is FANTASTIC!! Close to HWY, noise did not bother us, however. Nice people run the place. Sites have 30 amp + water. No sewer hook-up, but, dump station near front. Will DEFINITELY stay here again next time we are in the area.
Great place to stay!! A close bike ride or walk to all amenities/ shops in town. Deer casually stroll through CG and right into the sites. Beautiful views from the CG itself. Grass between the sites, concrete pad next to pull through space and table. Will stay here again!
Very nice CG in a desert setting. Beautiful views at night, great hiking trails! Spaces are spread out and each has electric/ water along with concrete table, bbq, fire ring. Showers/ restrooms very clean. Hosts do a great job keeping place clean. Will probably be back!
What a great place to unwind and relax at!! We stopped over for 2 days on the way home from our Grand Teton/ Yellowstone vacation. Great pool for the kids. Restrooms and showers are nice and clean. Park staff is very helpful. Probably the nicest park we have ever camped at (for a full hook-up resort/ type)! We'll be back!
Very nice State Park campground. Right on the Colorado River. Nice, double-wide, shaded, back-in spaces. Water/ electric hook-ups in all sites, sewer available in a few. We spent 4 days here during the kids x-mas break from school and had a blast! The Buckskin Loop Trail is great, also some nice areas to ride bikes. Hopefully you can run into the guy that is a host here and knows all about the trail and the vegetation in the area, he is great! Will be back next winter for another get-away!
Very nice, clean State Park campground. All paved interior roads and paved pull through and back-in sites. Sites have water and electric hook-ups. Area would be a little more scenic with "green" in the trees, but, this time of the year, not gonna happen! The showers and restrooms were detailed every day by the staff and were extremely clean! The tours of the caverns are WELL worth the expense! Tombstone only 30 min. drive away. We'll be back!
Don't know why so many people complain about this park. It's located in one of the most beautiful parks on earth! Spaces are close together and some sites have trees that do not allow for the awning to be out. It is centrally located in the park and close to a lot of places! Have been there twice and will go back!
Not at all worth the $47 nightly fee. At least keep the grass in the park alive for that much money!! Sites were not level from side to side and the whole place was cramped and seemed dirty. Would never stay there again, very disappointed.
