Campground is circular, beside a lake, with most sites back-in. There are 2 pull-throughs, but all sites are large and level on stone. No light at night on the entrance to the park from highway. It is situated on the next road to the main state park entrance (which has a light). No lights in campground either. Very nice clean park, would stay again.
Very unkempt, dirty grounds. Have been here 3 days and dumpster is still overflowing onto the ground. Looks like mostly full-time construction workers staying here; big trucks coming and going all day long. Very narrow pull-throughs with the sewer hookup. Couldn't even put awning out without hitting bus next door! It is a Passport America campground so price is 1/2.
The campground is mostly trees and hard to back into sites. It is an Old Resort of America park. Signage directions are hard to find and quite a ways from town. Sites are dirt with old dirty tables. It has concrete pads, but they are higher than dirt road so my back hydraulic jacks hit the concrete. We will never return.
Enjoyed my stay (2 weeks). You are only supposed to stay 14 days max, but they have people living there full time which isn't good. And, if you ask, you could stay longer. Not supervised and not many people staying there, so it can feel like you are pretty isolated.
Not sure of the rate because they accept Passport America from Sun-Thrs. Stayed 3 weeks in Spring and will return to park again in Aug. Can't say enough about the friendliness of the park personnel or about their wonderful upkeep of the spacious grounds! The lake is beautiful for fishing and boating and a large area for swimming.
