We are completing a nine-day stay at this RV park. We moved from another due to bug issues. Williston Crossings was such a nice surprise!!! Absolute beautiful lay out, tons of trees at each site, and very large concrete pads for trailer and patio. Connections are positioned nicely near rear of pad. Folks at the front desk were extremely helpful and friendly. The restroom/shower facilities had nice tile finish, and laundry room was spotless and located centrally. We plan to stay here again for all of our visits with family in the area. Speaking of family, this is a great place to stop traveling towards the big Orlando parks as they are about two hours away. Gainesville, with U.of Florida is only twenty miles away. Great little cafe (The Driftwood) four blocks away with really nice 'home cooking'. It was very easy to write this review as we loved this park.
This was a travel stop over for us on the way to Florida. Friends of ours from Houston were vacationing at one of the local large casinos so we thought we would combine a visit with them with a normal stopover. The park was extremely nice. The office staff were friendly, and facilities clean. The restrooms/shower room was what I would call upscale with nice tile decorations. The walk across the road to the beach was easy. A hint: If driving from the west on Beach Blvd. (and I recommend you do this for the forty mile beautiful ride down the beach) get on the little 'feeder road' a few blocks from the U-turn to the park. This makes things much easier. If you miss that the first time as I did, you can drive around a little BBQ cafe on the corner. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
This is a very hard review to write. I have been traveling to this area since I was a child. Having passed this extremely nice RV park many times before we bought our travel trailer, I had always said I want to stay there someday. The park is located with so much access to both freshwater and saltwater fishing nearby. We arrived late afternoon to set up the trailer. Our cousins lived nearby so this was a good location to visit them and enjoy the area. The restrooms, showers, pool, and park are very clean with nice large sites. Again from all appearances we were going to have a fantastic time!! Alas, nature had a nice little surprise for us.....Sand gnats or No-See-Ums. We were swarmed by these pesky little 'flying teeth'. I am saying literally swarmed. Before I had the RV setup I had been bitten in dozens of spots. The next morning I had little red itchy dots all over my legs and arms. This is very sad, as I wanted to stay here so badly. I feel so sorry for the park management as there is little, if nothing they can do to help the sand gnat problem. We checked out the next morning and moved inland about thirty miles.
