Very nice park. Good space between sites. Office staff very nice, and helpful. Small store on site, but takes care of basic needs. Close to I-15. Good pull through sites for tow car or big 5th wheels. Nice place to stay.
The rate is $39.00 per night. Rate with Good Sam is $35.10. Weekly stay is $234.00. I hate to disagree with the reviewer from November, but this is an excellent park. The staff was outstanding. We asked for and received our morning paper. Yes, there is sand in the parking area, but even with a Golden Retriever, we had very little sand in our motorhome. The Crest Bar and Grill on site is great. We had both poo-poos and dinner on another night. Service was great, and the food was super. There were a lot of "folks" dining the night we were there-and it seemed as though service was quick and efficient. The reception area which also serves as a "small store" was very pleasant and a reasonable amount of items were for sale. Yes, we heard the roosters in the morning, but it was better than hearing trains or planes roaring nearby. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in the area. It is very accessible from CA 99. There is a shopping center about 1-1/ miles away for shopping needs. Try this park. We think you will like it. It is only about 2 years old. It was formally a Drive In Theater.
It is an older park. The staff was friendly. Cable service is very limited, and national networks are not included in the cable lineup (10 channels). You have to use your antenna. The park is not too satellite friendly since it has a large number of mature, tall trees. The rate for hook-up without sewer is $25.00 and they do not accept Good Sam. The pads-both back-in and pull-through are a combination of dirt and gravel. There is a small store with very limited inventory--mostly liquid refreshments. A few RV related items are available as well. There are a large number of "long term campers". Space is acceptable between camping slots. There are picnic table at the site. The park is right along the Merced River. There is nothing else close by the campground, as it is somewhat secluded. It's OK for an overnight-passing through.
The campground is located at the Fairgrounds, right off North State Street-approximately 1/2 mile off US 101. The rates are very reasonable for this area. We have a quad slide and the pull-through was adequate. No picnic tables/barbecue pits at the site. Safe and good for a couple of nights.
