It is VERY difficult to get a 40' motorhome in these spots and we were within inches of the awning of the RV to our rear. We did like being there once we got parked. "Things" were generally otherwise efficient in the park and on the site. Otherwise, the best part of this park is that it's "Yellowstone." But aside from getting in the site, it sure wasn't a bad park.
The owners make this park what it is. They appear to truly be trying hard to make your visit as nice as possible. The staff was EXTREMELY nice during our visit. I had a problem with the RV water heater during my visit and they offered to have a staff member come by to help me. I just needed to remember where I had stored the spare part! My ONLY major complaint was the pad. The angle is enough to be troublesome. I will say they quickly told me they are replacing the one we were on soon, and I have no reason to believe they won't. The park's a bit far out too, BUT access was VERY easy from I-40 if you follow their instructions. We would stay there again, but we do try a lot of different ones up there.
Extremely clean, rules rigidly enforced, they even cleaned the fire pits each morning they were nice to us. We had no trouble getting in and out with a 37' and I saw 45' RV's there. I'm sure we'll get this 40' diesel in there easily. I guess they did appear to be a bit stuffy, but they also struck me as business cordial and I spoke limited German. I think they appreciated my "attempt" at speaking German, even though very limited German. We've stayed there several times and would again. There are so many RV parks to try up there, we do try others at times. BUT, this park is VERY predictably clean and quiet, except for some road noise. They are not open all year.
Somewhat to very difficult severely twisty windy access road. I don't mind the road, even with a 40' RV, but, I certainly understand the problem. That said, we absolutely love this stunning, out of the way park. The pine beetles have taken their toll on some of the shade, but you can hardly envision this park with out going there. Great lake access and we go there as much as possible, at LEAST twice a year. I don't think any sites have sewers, dump station is convenient to get to though. A lot of the sites were, in the last year or two, were upgraded to 50 amp power pedestals.
Absolutely love this park and go there frequently. Perfect pure boating lake and park. Sites are beautiful. Boat is virtually on your site, right on the shore not all sites have sewers, so check of that's important. Very reasonable policies, and park is well kept. Bring a portable sat. dish as not all sites will "clear".
We were there in Nov. We had virtually the entire park to ourselves. The park itself was very nice, although they had a lot of golf carts for rent. I don't know how that might go during the busy season. Everything on the Internet about the city is exaggerated. The WiFi didn't work during our visit. Connection to water might be too far for some at some sites. We carry extra lengths on everything and had no problem. The RV park staff couldn't possibly have been nicer. We enjoyed our "RV Park" visit, but the city has virtually nothing to offer at this time. We were told they are trying to work on that.
