We come to Drummer Boy for its close proximity to our home when we just need a quick weekend getaway and we love the Gettysburg area. We've been coming here for several years and have watched the park transform over the years. It's a nice park although a bit pricey but that's typical for today's "RV Resorts" however to charge extra for Wi-Fi and the water slide is a bit annoying. The park is clean and the seasonals, I must say from the many parks we've been to up and down the East coast keep their sites VERY nice. The sites are level and drain well when it does rain. Some of the premium sites in the back, in my opinion, are beginning to become a bit overgrown and need some grooming at this point. It's a nice park to walk around which we love to do with our dog. The park is close to a lot of Gettysburg attractions as well. Overall, a lovely campground.

I can't disagree with previous reviews regarding amenities. This place is self contained with a well stocked store, the "Meet and Greet" to grab a quick bite, laundromat, pool, etc. However, if you don't like the constant running of golf carts, which you almost need because the place is so large, this place is not for you. They have a nightly parade of them which causes a traffic jam along the beach front. Now for the things they don't tell you ...there are some security issues here. Never in our 7 years of camping have we ever had anything stolen and we have left TVs out etc, but apparently the underage kids like to steal your coolers of alcohol right from nearly your front door. Bold on their part! Security and park personnel were aware when we reported and told us they arrested to juveniles but for the most part said it's been happening for years and laughed it off. So word to the wise lock up your belongings not just coolers. Secondly our 15 year old and his friend, both outstanding kids, were "interrogated" for lack of a better word and threatened that they and about 10 other kids would be taken to juvenile detention because they were hanging out on the deck near the beach a little after a 11:00. No where in the rules does it state that they need to be back at site by a specific time. Apparently someone snitched that someone was smoking pot up there and that is what he was looking for but to threaten them all for just being there when they were not doing anything..they were quite shaken up. Where was he when the coolers were being stolen...oh I guess making false accusations. Not so sure we will return.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Charlotte. We were greeted by a very nice couple and escorted in by a gentleman that really understood big rigs who towed, i.e. told us if he swung wide we needed to as well and he was right on target. Our site aloud us to keep our Jeep hooked up which was convenient. The site we stayed on was tight but again sufficient for the night's stay. It is a pretty little park with nicely shaded sites and the area seems to have tons to do. We set out for the Natural Bridge and Caverns in the morning before heading for Charlotte. We plan to come back to the area again.

Beautiful park located midway between Ocean City, MD and Assateague Island which we like to go to for the beach. Park has nice level sites, some shaded, a small enclosed dog park, dog beach, watersports, beach area, etc. We have been here a few times since the renovations from the former Eagles Nest and are never disappointed. Our only suggestion would be to enforce the leash law. Some campers believe they have control of their pets and they really do not. We will continue to return.

We chose this campground for it's proximity to the NASCAR Hall of Fame and various race shops. All are a bit of a drive but overall not bad. The campground is nice. There are a lot of seasonals but they are extremely friendly. We had a fairly decent site close to the road but road noise was not a problem. Pool was a decent size but got very crowded on those hot July days. They put on a wonderful fireworks show right in the park at their pond with music. There are lots of activities as well. I would return.
