This is an old park that they are renovating. They are using old concrete and adding new which makes it rather rough. It is very tight and while it will accommodate a 40' rig, it's only because it's empty and you can take up several spots while swinging to get in. They've also installed lamps that are difficult to avoid with slides. It is priced right though and there is nothing else in Lake Charles.
This is another old park primarily set up for full-timers in trailers as well as mobile homes. RV was scratched on way in and out by low hanging branches. Not designed for Motorhome; forced to unhook tow to get in and out. Sites are shell only and very narrow/uneven. Was assigned spot next to dog park if you can call it that. Hurricane fence with holes under it; not mowed and waste container overflowing - had not been emptied in at least a week. Classify it a dump; will never return.
Very nice facility. Nice size lots: 50x100. Lots of privacy. Nice lakes with pedestrian bridges. Almost as nice as Bella Terra in Foley, AL. Only negative is it's out in the sticks - Worth the 18 mile drive back to Fort Myers.
Great resort. Great facilities. Relaxing ponds with fountains. Nice clean laundry and bath houses. This is the first and only facility that I've ever used the bath houses; they're that nice! As I read somewhere on the internet, "After Bella Terra every other RV Resort/Park will seem inadequate!" So true! Nice area to visit too. Don't miss Lambert's - Home of the thrown roll and LuLu's!
