Stopped in here on our way to Texas. Check in was easy. Large back in spaces (and some pull throughs). Owners extremely nice. Escorted us to our site and helped us back in and get situated. Sites are gravel but level. Near the interstate, but very quiet. Well maintained and manicured. Pool available and this campground is "kid friendly"...also pet friendly. Walk your dogs where ever you want, just pick up after them. If you stay here, I recommend eating at Pat's in Henderson for some real Cajun food. I had the crayfish etouffee...delicious! The staff can tell you where it is.
This is actually our second time in a campground, with out new camper so we're newbies. This campground is off I-65, near the highway, but far enough away not to hear the noise. It's quiet and not as large as some of the mega RV resorts you see, and that's why I like it. It has an "at home" feel that is clean and very well manicured. With full hookups, it had everything I needed. The owner introduced himself and in a few minutes, you feel like old friends. He walked us to our site and helped with the set up, showing us exactly where to put our wheels on the gravel lot so we could be level. His son looks after the place at night. Both are there to answer any questions or help out with problems. As for amenities, there is free WiFi and a laundry room. There is also a connector for satellite if you want. There isn't any cable, but there are plenty of channels available off the antenna. Even though it was only for one night, it was an enjoyable stay and we plan on staying here again on our return trip.
This is my first time camping so I really have nothing or any other campgrounds to compare it to. We stopped in here on our way to Texas. We choose this one to stop at because of its high ratings with Good Sam. Our gamble paid off. This is a clean, manicured campground and very quiet. The hookups are all that you would need. Check-in was a breeze, as we had already made reservations. Personnel were very nice and friendly. There are showers, and bathrooms available. A map was provided for us. There is a small camping supply store in the general office. Our site wasn't paved, but it was level. Concrete pad and a picnic table right outside our door. All in all, well pleased with this place. It made our very first night camping very enjoyable. We will use this one again, on our way back home.
