Big sites up in the woods. Site U11. We only stayed 1 night but will be returning to see more of the area next year. Cable TV was very good. It rained all day and night so didn't get to see much. It was just a one night stay over as we went across country. Easy in and out in a 37 footer. I liked what I saw. See you next year Yogi.
Let's start with the bad. GPS is wrong. The office staff let me know this and told me to go about 30 miles out of the way on RT17. Glad I did. Thanks. A little pricey. Sewage was 25 feet away at back of site. Now the good. Has big sites and great cable TV. Very nice creeks and streams to play in. Took a short walk to see some beautiful mountains. Nice/clean fenced in dog area. Sedona is a must see if you are close, and this is the campground to stay in.
I used this review site to plan my trip from Va. to the Grand Canyon. Most of what I read is right. It is just a simple campground. No frills. I had no problems with my 37 foot motor home. Bring leveling blocks. The ravens will poke holes in sewer line. Bring a old piece of carpet to lay on top or just throw it under rv. Now for the good. You can walk about 50 yards and a nice/clean bus will pick you up from campground. The buses are free and you can go up and down the south rim. We walked some great trails and then got on a bus to take us to some great views of the canyon. The deer are all over the campground. I saw 2 different blue birds, a big woodpecker and a 700+ lb elk. That's without leaving the campground. The deer come out at dust and early morning. We stayed 4 nights and saw most of the south rim. There is good food at the market. It is a big store with everything. If I ever take the 2400 mile drive to the Grand Canyon I will stay here again.
This a small campground on a very nice piece of property. Quiet. The sites are BIG. Easy to get to from highway. Cable TV worked great. The landscape is very well kept. The owner was working hard in the campground the 2 days we where there. He helped me find a local tire shop that worked out good for me. Close to local strip/Pigeon Forge. Not much to do in campground other than walk along side a nice creek. Hope to stop at this park again some day.
