Overnight lots are extremely narrow. There was a large motorhome next to us. If he would have put his awning out it would have given us shade. Sites are gravel and level. The manager is not Mr Personality but I am sure he deals with a lot of unfriendly travelers. I know I have met a few. I would stay here again for a night if I was in the area but it wasn`t anything special. The restrooms and showers were spotless.
This is a beautiful RV park. Sites are wide and all are level cement pads. I did not use the Wi-Fi, but the cable was good and the washrooms were immaculate. I did not use the pool, but it looked very nice and they have tables and umbrellas around it to relax. The only reason I did not give it a 10 is there is no shade and I think they are a bit pricey.
Very friendly manager. They have a small fenced off area for a dog park. I wish more RV parks had this. Wi-Fi was OK. Did not use the cable as our TV was broken. Washrooms are pretty gross. Toilets work OK and were clean enough, but showers were grungy. This is mostly a long term park but OK for a night's stay if you are passing through.
The only problem with this park was the water. It was a brown color. The manager said they have problems when the nearby rock quarry is blasting. I think the rock quarry should run city water to them. Overall it is a nice park and the people are friendly. It was very cold the night we stayed so I only used the electric and used the water from our tank.
This park has mostly seasonal campers but there are perhaps 25 to 40 transient spots. There are only three sites with sewer hookups for transient; however, they like to keep them for people that are staying longer term. They are right on Lake Erie and have a nice clean beach. There is a marina just down the road. They are only open seasonally.
This web site has the KOA campground shown as being closed. This is not true. I talked to the lady and was going to stay there but we ran into severe weather and had to pull off about 30 miles short at Gas city. (I should have kept driving in the rain). The girl on the phone was very friendly and assured me they were open for business and no need to make a reservation this time of the year.
This was the most expensive and worst park we staying in during 10 days on the road home from Texas. The water is terrible. The noise from I69 is terrible. The washrooms and showers, while fairly clean are dated. This is a campground that has mostly seasonal campers and I am sure they have fun during the season. We will not be staying here again.
I agree with all of the positive things that have been said about this park. It is super clean. The owners are very friendly and will do anything to help you out. We will be staying here again. The weather was not that good when we where there. It would be a great place for a family get together as they have some cabins they rent out. There is a small lake around the campground and you can rent a canoe if you want. Shopping is very close. This is the best park we stayed in in our 10 days of travel home from Texas.
OK if you don't mind parking in a parking lot with hook ups. I was a upset because they advertise that they have a fenced area for off leash pets. This was not true. The Wi-Fi works good. Only have local cable TV but they will give you a box for digital channels for a $50 deposit. It is not our type of park as we like to sit outside under our canopy, and this is not that type of park. Staff was friendly.
