Nice place! We stayed here while visiting Mesa Verde NP which is only about 1/2 mile from the campground. Sites are shaded and the pool and hot tubs are really nice. No cable, but plenty of HD air stations. Dog walk area was nice and was near 2 ponds. Nice store and laundry room. Price reflects Military discount. We'd definitely stay here again.
Price reflects 10% military discount. We stayed here for 2 days while visiting Arches NP. Its about 5 miles south of town but not too far away from the local businesses. Its pretty quiet at night with nice views of the stars and mountains. The spots aren't that crowded as some of the other reviews would lead you to believe. We had plenty of room for our slide and awning. Internet was ok and the facilities were nice and clean. Its can get dusty with the gravel and dirt, but what else would you expect for a desert? The pool was small, but nice and was filled with European visitors. My kids were surprised to see men in speedos, but everyone was nice and eager to talk. We'd stay here again.
Not the best, not the worst. The wireless was very weak and stopped working every few minutes. When I called to make a reservation, the lady said they offered a military discount, but when I arrived, they said they offer no discounts of any kind. After going back and fourth, they finally gave me the 10% discount. Cable was good and had over 50 channels. Pool looked OK, but we didn't use since it was raining. A good overnight.
Not bad for a quick stay. 3/4 of the park are full time residents, but they weren't too trashy. The host keeps the transient campers together, so you probably won't see any of the permanents. Very shady and cable is great. WiFi is wishy washy and we could only connect to one of the 5 hotspots for some reason. One of the other reviews was right, the host is protective of his grass. Don't set up anything on it or you'll get a knock on your door. We'd stay here again.
