This was such a better stay than my previous review last year. I gave it a nine rating because there is only direct TV hookups and no cable. The campground hosts were fantastic and much more kid friendly that last year. They were a tremendous help with my friend's 8 year old daughter who required a visit to the urgent care facility in Medford.

The beach and campground setting is beautiful. That being said this is the worst Oregon State Park we have ever stayed in! It was truly disappointing. The showers and restrooms were filthy. I would not have given my dog a bath in them! There was an enormous amount of traffic coming in day and night. It was an extremely large park and we stayed in site C6. There was so much traffic I did not feel comfortable with my children playing out in front of the trailer. The only good loop in this campground is the B loop which is by the beach entrance and away from all the traffic.

The park itself is beautiful and one of the nicest we've stayed in. I gave it an 8 for two reasons. It needs a pool to justify the $69 a night price tag. Plus there are only two showers for the whole campground (2 mens, 2 womens). The showers have no ventilation and no windows to air them out. The showers were wet, moldy, and the floor would flood. There is only a small privacy curtain to cover you up while getting dressed. The curtain was only held up with Velcro and would fall periodically. If these two issues were fixed it would we a magnificent place.

Stayed two nights to take our children to the nearby waterslide. The park grounds are very well kept. The bathrooms and pool were very clean. The rate posted reflects a Good Sam discount. The employees were very friendly upon check in and throughout our stay. There is a great walking path through a vineyard to get to a nearby winery or the waterslide across the street. Seems a littler overpriced, but would definitely come back.

The park is beautiful. Spaces are large and the deepest I've seen anywhere. Good water pressure and hookups are in a good location for your rig. The owners got on to several kids for running in a common area (behind our trailers.) Telling kids they can't run in a campground--that's crazy! There is no cable TV, but you can rent a Direct TV receiver. There is a nice fishing lake about a 4 minute walk behind campground. There is a general store up the road for food, ice, and fishing licenses, etc.. There was a very talented country band playing on Saturday nights, and when my kids got up and danced they were told (by the owner) to sit down. I wouldn't say he is rude, but they're just not used to having kids in the campground.

Sites can get very muddy when it rains. Very wide and spacious sites. Very kid friendly. I paid for a premium site and they put me in a deluxe site so I had to bring it to there attention to get a refund on the following day.

We stayed here at an off season rate of $70 a night (buy 2 nights get 3rd free.) It's a good deal at that price. Would not pay full rates. The showers, pool, spa, and bathrooms were spotless. Excellent grounds keeping staff. Only about 20 or so cable channels. Good Wi-Fi reception. Nice views of the ocean, however El Capitan State Beach has much nicer ocean views with beach access. The staff was friendly, and check in was painless. Would definitely recommend.

Great area. Beautiful scenery. Lots of cable TV channels. Great access for diving and fishing. They promised us a boat slip and were able to make good on the promise when we arrived. The only two downsides to this trip were the loud drunk parties here on the weekend. Also the dump station was broken so traffic was very rudely directed to the empty spot next to us for the trailers to dump. We got to smell 20+ trailers dumping there sewer next to us on Sunday morning. Very disgusting!

This is one of the best campgrounds we've stayed at. The area is fantastic. Waterfalls all around the lake. Do yourself a favor and rent a boat to drive around the lake. Also check out Courtright Reservoir about 30 minutes up the road. The scenery is incredible. The RV sites are some of the largest we've seen in a campground. Would have given it a 10 if it had cable hookups.

Let me start off by saying that the surrounding area is stunning. This is possibly the most beautiful scenery I've seen. Now we'll get to the campground. The office staff is not very organized and somewhat clueless about what is going on with the reservation process. I had a full hookup site reserved, and they had lost it due to a computer crash. I was only able to receive a partial hookup site upon arrival. My buddy rented the rental cabin which was supposed to include a boat slip. The boat slips were overbooked and had no room for our boat. On the second day we were able to get our boat on the commercial docks. The access for fishing and diving is fantastic from this location.

The $40 per night was ther average price I paid during the promotion of pay for 2 nights get 1 free. Beautiful park. All the employees were extremelly friendly. Some sewer connections are a bit of a reach. Make sure you have a 20ft sewer hose.

Excellent park!!! The owners and employees were fabulous. Very nice people. What service!! You buy firewood from the office and they deliver it to your campsite. Very pretty area up in the redwoods. I would have given a 10, but some of the sites looked very, very small. Do not tow a trailer up highway 9 (incredibly tight and twisty), instead go up highway 17 through Scotts Valley. Great hiking trails right from the park into Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Also, see the Roaring Camp railroads. Our kids loved the train ride!!!

Great place to camp and take the kids to the Mustang water slides. Pretty lake. Very convenient to stay here and go to the beach also. Saw some great wildlife. I would have given it a 10, but the website says nothing about the $7 reservation fee until you get your bill.

What a fabulous park. Absolutely beautiful. We camped here the first week of May, and there were only 2 trailers in the park. Still had snow on the ground. Big spaces. Would have given it a 10 if it had cable TV and recycle bins. (I know logistically speaking this may not be possible given the isolated location.)

Nice campground. Not much to do here if you don't fish. Take notice that the bait and tackle shop is closed Monday/Tuesday. (I found out the hard way.) Had to drive into Santa Ynez for fishing hooks. The shoreline is not easily accessible from the RV (hookup) areas. Had a great time though. Would recommend. Nice nature center for the kids.

Great park, in a beautiful setting. Would have given a 10, but they don't take credit cards, and some of the sites are small. Lots of permanent residents, which cuts down on the road traffic. Great for allowing your kids to ride bikes on the street.

Great place to stay, especially during ski season. We were almost the only ones there! Very quiet. Good location for skiing Heavenly and Sierra at Tahoe. There was a $3 per day resort fee, that the website had no mention of. Would stay here again.

Nice little park. Convenient location. Would come back again. Next door to a miniature golf course for the kids. Could be a little cheaper, that's why it's getting an 8.

Good place with full hookups. Good location, close to town, and close enough for day trips to Santa Barbara. Seems very well organized. Has some long term residents in here, some of the trailers are kind of an eyesore, but most of the short term camping is kept away from them.

Great park right along the Fresno River. Excellent swimming holes for the hot days!!! Full hookups about an hour from Yosemite Valley. Excellent staff, check in was painless, they even try to give you AAA or Good Sam discounts without you having to ask. Upon check in I was issued a $3 refund for showing my Good Sam card. Will return without hesitation!!
