Nice level sites, good hookups. Very friendly manager and was very informative on area activities. We would have missed a few things if not for him. Must see Tombstone. Park fairly quiet, beautiful sunsets and moon at night. Very easy on/off interstate. Would stay here again.
Park is owned by a super nice family(new owners)and campground is in transition of upgrades. Grassy areas between sites with some shade trees. Good level sites with good hook ups, plenty of room for big rigs. Quiet and peaceful and a good oasis in between weather patterns. Warm breezy days and cool nights. Community area with pond, gazebo and grill; where each evening owners have gatherings; you can join in with fun and games or just visit with other campers. Nice city park one block over, great for evening strolls or walking your pet. Within walking distance to several restaurants on historic Route 66. Just minutes from downtown Tucumcari; don't miss the murals. We had intended to stay a couple of days but ended up staying three weeks. Easy on off I-40, so a great place for a night or extended stay. We plan on going back next year for an extended stay.
Very nice park just next door to Camping World. Great hook-ups, friendly and helpful manager. This park has shade trees, but no grass. Would be very dusty if wind blowing and would not really want to be here when it rains.
Very friendly manager; took you to your site. Gave us lots of info on area activities. Campground clean, big sites, good water, electric and sewer hookups. Very close to Historic Williams, and just an hour away from the Grand Canyon. We would stay here again.
Rate is with senior discount. Older state park on top of mountain. Very nice, friendly rangers and workers. Campsites are rustic but plenty large enough; with fire pits made from rocks, grills and picnic tables. Two camping areas, one on top of mountain, other one across from the lake swimming area. Also there is an overflow area. Good water, electric and sewer. Lots of hiking trails, one with a boardwalk for the handicapped.
Wonderful park: quiet, clean, and campsites were large, with picnic tables, grills and fire rings. Some sites have a deck overlooking the river/lake. We had a pull through site with lots of room. Walking trails and bike trail. Host was very friendly. Publix grocery and gas/diesel nearby. Would camp here again.
Campground is small and compact. Our site had a covered picnic table; within walking distance to all restaurants and shopping in city. Very clean, good water pressure, good electric, nice laundry, friendly owner, very informative on area, gave us lots of info. Took us to our site. They haven't had rain since November 2007, so it was dusty. Would stay there again, we camped in a 29' travel trailer and stayed for 7 nights. No trouble using passport america rates.
