Don't be put off by the fact that this campground is a combination RV park and horse campground. This camp is used as a base by people who bring their horses here to ride in the Black Hills, and the horse facilities, located on the perimeter of the park, are immaculate. Rate reflects weekly rate plus tax. We came for a few days and ended up spending a week because this is such a nice, clean, quiet park and there is so much to do in the area. This park is a gem as the RV sites are all level, gravel pull throughs, and you have beautiful views of the mountains through your windshield. Power and water pressure are excellent and the owners (who live on site) plan to continue to upgrade the park.

We stayed here while escaping the Waldo Canyon fire. The full name of this park is Valley Mobile RV Park, and the very pleasant owners told me they don't advertise because the fees are so high. Instead they give a 10% discount if you pay with cash or check. This is an older, well-kept park with long, level gravel sites. Access roads are dirt but big rig friendly. All sites are FHU & 50 amp. The park's free WiFi and Verizon service were excellent. Very quiet park mostly populated by friendly seasonal campers who come to fish, hike, river raft, four wheel, and horseback ride. Laundry facilities are immaculate. The park is close to town, and we're looking forward to returning soon.

Fourth visit to this park. Stayed a month last year. Easy access off of I-40. Big rig friendly, but call ahead to reserve site as this park fills quickly (lowest rates on this side of town). Basic RV park, but very clean. Friendly staff.

This is a basic, older simple RV park with good power and Verizon signal. Most of the sites are pull through and about half of them are shaded by pine trees. We chose it because it's the closest park to downtown and it's right off of I-40. The access roads are good. It is walking distance to several restaurants including Black Bart's Steakhouse. When we arrived their internet was down and they didn't know when it would be back up. Many long term residents are located along the last row of the park, but over night guests are parked in the first couple of rows. We would definitely stay here again in spite of some noise from the highway and the next door Truckers' parking lot.

Very clean, quiet park with much attention to detail. All picnic tables were freshly painted, and grass at long term sites was freshly mowed. The staff obviously takes a lot of pride in this park, and they were very friendly and helpful. Big level, gravel, pull through sites. Good power, Verizon signal, and laundry facilities. Dog run. Good place to camp while exploring the Grand Mesa, Colorado National Monument, Bookcliffs, and the Paradise Fruit and Wine Trail. Would definitely stay here again.
