This campground is in a pleasant site along the Red River. The sites are level but are poorly marked and many are hard to get into. The owners are working hard to create new amenities, but are neglecting basic daily maintenance. There was trash scattered over our sites. The restrooms and showers were not cleaned, not even once in our 10 day stay. This was gross.
This is a beautiful town and area. The RV park is like moving to Northern Exposure. Big trees, wildlife walking thru the park (a cow elk strolled by our site.) The park is not really developed much. There are several long-term residents in antique (read junky) trailers. The bathrooms/showers were locked and we weren't given a key, so no showers. Pretty, but extremely rustic.
This park is really tight. The sites are barely long enough and the roads are very narrow. This makes it extremely difficult to get into your site. The landscaping is great. The pool and hot tub are wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We have a 34' class A and had to try several sites to find one we could squeeze into. Congrats to my husband for championship backing job. Internet is mediocre (Tengo for 2 hours/day, with download restrictions.) However, Vancouver is great and the park is in a really good location.
This is a lovely park. We stayed in sites 65-67 which are on the upper level overlooking the ocean. Each night the park has a propane "campfire" which is a great time to sit around and socialize. On Fridays, they provide appetizers for the campers. The rate shown is the off-season which they gave us when we registered in January. We stayed a week this time and will come again. Area is beautiful and park is great.
