This RV Park has good potential to get a better rating. We found it only a 6 because of unprofessional management. Easy going is great but not for the management. Guests going to stay only for one night don't want to spent all the time with check-in procedure and find the things they need to. First we had to find the office at the back end of the park. Yes, there are small dark signs you can't really see when driving up. The office was open but no one in. There was a sign with a number to call and a phone. The phone did not work. Our T-Mobile cell phone had no service. No site rates shown in the office or on the website of this park. Sites are concrete without shade or dirt with shade. So we took an open site. Our neighbor offered his cell phone to call the manager. The answering machine was on. The manager drove up some time later, wanted to get $40 cash, with Good Sam discount $36. No credit card or $3 extra charge. No receipt, no park map. Then he was gone and never seen again. The Wi-Fi worked, cable TV did not at our site, not at site beside. Walking through the park we found a dirty looking pool, a covered hot tub and a pretty cottage with showers, library, guest kitchen and a living room with TV and piano.
We stayed in this park before and returned on our way back. Both times we found the park nearly excellent. Bathrooms, laundry, pool and recreation room spotless, sites concrete and well maintained. Friendly hosts and neighbors. They even have a continental breakfast. Excellent as an overnight place but not a destination because of interstate noise and no shade.
Excellent RV Park! Never before have we had such a huge site. Concrete pad, hookup connection in very good condition, picnic table and shade from the trees. Restrooms, laundry and pool, nothing to complain. The whole park looks very neat and tidy. We wanted to stay only over night, but we extended our stay because it was so pretty and quiet. The rate is the Passport America.
Don't know what happened to some former reviewer. Our GPS led us to the resort (I-55N Exit 251, left over interstate, next left, go 1.5 miles) and we got a friendly welcome from the staff in the office. Our rate is the Passport America. Nice resort with a fishing lake. Separate lake for swimming with beach and a realy big pool too. Restrooms looked freshly painted and very clean. Laundry facilities new and clean. Sites with full hookup. Wi-Fi (included in rate) worked well. Not so good: roads and sites are gravel with a lot of dust inside which means you will stay in a dust cloud if a car or golf cart pass by. They have 3 site areas. We got a site in 'Deer Trail'. These sites are pretty close together, no picnic table and a lot of noise from the interstate.
Shady and level gravel sites. The rate is for E+W. They also have a few full hookups but only a few. Even though it was a busy holiday weekend restrooms and laundry were very clean! The pool looked also nice and clean but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi (included) didn't work at the evening. Was ok the next morning. We arrived after office hours and found a prepared map outside with all the information.
Not a kampground as we expect from high priced KOA. Very tight sites, hookups not in good condition, the mens restroom was dirty. They take an additional fee for Cable TV ($3 per day), Wi-Fi is free. People parked behind us looked like permanents: lots of noise and their spot looked trashy. Just in front of us passed a freight train several times. We would not stay here again.
Convenient RV Park to visit St. Louis. For us it was only a overnight location. Yes, there is a lot of noise from the railway and yes, it is a little bit like a parking lot with paved ground, no pool. You have to think about what you will need. There are some sites with a little bit shade. We got one. And there is also a picnic area. Restroom were clean and laundry looked well. The ladies in the office are friendly. They offered the service from the security to take us to the casino or the railway station.
Very clean restrooms, laundry and pool, friendly an helpfull office staff. They have a complimentary reservation and shuttle service for the Branson shows. Don't by show tickets online, you will pay more than doing it after you arrived. We got a site not listed on the park map with full hookup, gravel without shade at the very end of the park. Not so good. They have better sites with cocrete ground and shade from trees but maybe not for guests with Passport America discount. I meant to ask for another site. We stayed in a motorhome for 5 days. Lot to do in Branson!
Very shady sites, you will like them on a hot and sunny day. The ground is gravel turning to dirt and it looks as if it will be muddy if there is rain. We loved the bird singing and the flowers around the office and pool area. But the hookup connections were in bad condition, wrenched wire etc. Same with the restrooms. Yes we know: there are some guests that don't know how to flush a toilet. Yes, it was a busy holiday weekend but the restrooms were even not cleaned the day after. The Wi-Fi didn't work when we arrived. Lady in the office said it makes no sense to call the provider because it was the 4th of July. Wi-Fi started to work late in the evening. Cable TV channels are poor. Most channels showing no signal and you have to search to find one. Overall it could be a nice place to stay but it needs more attention: soon.
Huge and shady back in sites in a park setting close to the Kentucky Horse Park. We used the complimentary shuttle service to the KHP because we have no towing car. It looked as if we were the only ones without a car or golf cart. There was a lot of traffic during day times. Don't know if that is normal. There was a sign that they have a golf cart rally. We liked the golf cart parade on Saturday to celebrate the 4th July. It was a busy holiday weekend and the park was nearly full. You could see it when using the restrooms. Would be a good idea to clean them up a few times more on weekends like this. You have to pay for Wi-Fi ($8 good for 7 days).
The site facilities are excellent because it is a newer park. The restrooms are at the golf clubhouse and only open in daytime. There is no restaurant as shown in Trailer Life Directory. The WIFI works well. There is nothing to buy you that you may need, not even bags of ice. There is a friendly host on site. Over all I would say it's a Golf Resort with some RV hookups but not a RV Park. We would not stay again. The rate is too high for what you get.
