We camped here for 3 days while visiting relatives, our site was very small and water connection was at our neighbors site. Lucky we had 50 feet of hose otherwise 25 feet not enough. Good for quick stop over, lots long term units and park models but well kept not messy or eyesore units. Excellent paved bike trail which we used, I think 36 miles long total. Great!! No Cable at our site. Most had satellite dishes. Would stay here again.
We stayed here for 3 days, very nice park with wide level macadam pads on the side we stayed on. Other side of lake has gravel sites but seemed nice too. Beautiful small lake with good fishing. Big Bass to be had, also sunnies and even spotted a large snapping turtle swimming near dock size of a large frying pan. Good Wi-Fi and cable. Would definitely stay here again, excellent!!!
We camped here day after Bike Week 08, It was very packed the day before we arrived and made reservations. But by the time we pulled in around 3pm on arrival it had cleared out nicely. The site we reserved #116 the day prior was a mess, the sewer had backed up on to the rear of site and we refused and asked if we could take site #115 instead and there was no problem, plus we were upwind of prev site so turned out OK. The managers did address problem in prev site and applied lime to sewer problem. We spent 3 days here and everything was fine. Most pads are macadam and level and of good width and depth. Did not need Wi-Fi as we have aircard for internet. Very convenient to Track and Beach. Couple blocks to track, couple miles to beach.
Excellent owners on site. Our GPS battery died and would not charge thru cig lighter about 15 miles from CG. Owner stayed on phone and walked us in to CG thru small town turns and traffic lights which was fabulous. Newer campground with level concrete sites of average width and depth. Great location close to NASA Johnson Space Center and good access to downtown Houston and Galveston. Nice small town (Kemah) with a small boardwalk with shops and games etc, most which were closed at this time of year but still nice to sightsee and walk around. Only downside was amount of bright lights in campground which was annoying even with nightshades down, light was abundant. But still recommend and would camp here again if in area.
This is a great State Park and campground. Blacktop levels pads, very deep and wide, lots of nature, hiking and bike riding trails. Park is immaculate and maintained well. We only camped one night but if we ever get back this way would definitely stay longer. It would be great for kids to experience camping at a park like this. Louisiana should be proud to have a state park like this.
We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Hot Springs. Convenient to downtown and located off well off interstate. CG managers on site and extremely helpful. Since was off season, we had our choice of spots. Beautiful CG, nice wide level terraced sites. Everything looked extremely clean and maintained. Pool looked nice but too cold to try it out. One of the best KOA's we've ever stayed/ We would camp here again.
Wow, this park is the one all others will be judged by. Fabulous, Unbelievable, Exclusive park we stayed at for 5 glorious days for free with a internet coupon. You were supposed to get a sales pitch about purchasing a spot, I think the salesman guessed we could not afford it when we pulled in with a under $100,000 dollar MH, he didn't even try and just handed us a pamphlet with prices. Just looking at the million dollar rigs on million dollar sites was worth it. Golf course in center of park, custom golf carts at every site worth $20,000 blew me away. Was great to walk dog and sightsee the inland waterways, etc. People were very friendly even though they knew we were only visiting. Would camp here again if someone would like to purchase a spot for us.
We stayed here for 2 months. CG managers on site and helpful. Very scenic hill country area of suburban Austin and convenient to Downtown (20 min.) Some good wide and deep shaded sites and others are little tighter, but most are excellent. Paved CG roads, and good grass areas at sites. Lots of full timers here with dogs, whose owners do not clean up after. We have large dog and scoop every time. Other extended stay owners don't seem to abide by same rules which were stressed to us at sign up. Wi-Fi reception is OK depend on location and tree cover. No LP gas available at CG. In motorhome have to disconnect and travel 7 miles to get, very inconvenient. No CG store and need to travel only 1/2 mi. to store. Laundry clean and newer units, 3 wash and 3 dryers. No other amenities at CG, but would camp/stay again.
Very new campground still expanding. Gravel sites and driveway. Owners on site and are experienced RV'ers and are very helpful. Nothing to do at park but Georgetown only few minutes away and Austin within 20-30 minutes. Good for short stay but not extended stay. Would camp here again.
