This is a very large park with over 700 sites. It's a very well maintained and run campground in a beautiful oceanside area. The staff are all friendly and very professional. The park has good interior roadways and level sites and is truly big rig friendly. They have a new " adult only " area that consists of a large pool & deck, hot tub and bar & grill. It's a great area to escape and take in the sun. There's a restaurant and bakery on premise that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. There is also lots to do in the nearby towns with plenty of shops and restaurants available. The park has a mix of sunny and shaded sites with some lake side sites available. Wi-Fi is good, as is electric power and water pressure. Camp stores are well stocked and on both ends of the park. The restrooms are clean and well cared for. They also rent golf carts. One thing worth mentioning is most sites have the utilities located in the REAR and will require 2 sewer hoses, as well as a long fresh water hose and power cord. The dump station is a bit hard to find and navigate but overall its a very nice park.
This campground is located in a real nice area of NH with plenty of local shopping and things to do. The campground is nicely done with paved roads that are a bit narrow but adequate for big rigs. The sites are all large back-in gravel and almost perfectly level with plenty of space between them for privacy. Utilities are good and properly situated. There are quite a few seasonals scattered throughout the park but very well taken care of sites. The camp store is small but Walmart is close by. They have a very nice and well maintained clean indoor pool and hot tub. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The one thing we found odd was after you enter the campground through the electric gate you need to drive through about 1/2 the campground to reach the office to register. We stayed a week and enjoyed it and would return again.
This is by far the best campground in the Lake Placid area, and the best in the ADK mountains. Its initial appearance when you first enter is breathtaking. The lodge is a beautiful large 2 story log built building that hosts the camp store, registration office, adult lounge, laundry, novelty store, breakfast kitchen, and a dining room. The staff is very friendly and professional and will do what it takes to make you feel like family. There is also a beautiful clean pool and game room along with a snack bar on the property. This KOA is a recent corporate purchase and undergoing major changes. Most sites are shaded and level and it is truly a big rig friendly park. There are some new premium sites with concrete patios also. The new management is what makes this park an A+. There are cottage rentals available as well as tent sites. KOA has great plans for this park and it will only get better. We will come here again.
One of if not the best park in the Lake George area. Very well designed park with excellent interior paved roadways. Office staff are very professional and courteous. Most sites are spacious and level with good utilities. Well stocked camp store and many great amenities including an on property café.....playhouse and a trollies system that takes you into town. Conveniently located near outlet malls...shopping centers and restaurants. They have a GREAT new dog park that will open late July 2014. Both pools are beautiful and clean as are the restrooms /showers. We come here on an annual basis and will continue to do so.
This campground is in one of the most beautiful areas in NYS. The Catskills are a great place to visit. Unfortunately this campground is in need of a make-over. The sign on the main road is hard to understand on where to "enter" the campground. The office help are wonderful and extremely helpful. The roads are very narrow with low hanging limbs and shrubs that rub the sides of your RV. There are old tree stumps, dumpsters, and large rocks on critical turns that make it even hard to navigate. It is NOT big rig friendly by any stretch of the imagination. About 50% of the campground is occupied by seasonal and about 20% occupied by park models. These sites are messy and owners' cars tend to block the already narrow roads. Wi-Fi is almost nonexistent and the cell service is very poor. The pool and hot tub are beautiful but also across the main road outside the park. Ellenville is not a destination, but it does have adequate shopping. We will not return.
The staff is great and helpful and the surrounding area is beautiful. Unfortunately this campground is not up to standard KOA quality. The roads are very narrow and dusty and you need to make 3 hairpin tight turns to get to any of the sites. The road up to the "hill" is a single lane for in and out traffic and if you meet up with oncoming traffic someone will need to back up a few hundred feet. The "lake" is really a swamp with an odor and scum film covering the water. The dump station is poorly designed and on the exit road, so if someone is dumping you need to wait to exit the park. We have been going there 3 consecutive years and notice that there has been ZERO upgrades or improvements; even dead tree limbs over sites are still hanging. Its obvious that the owner could care less. The showers and restroom need attention but the pool is nice. This could be a premium KOA. but it's not. We will not be returning to this KOA.
Easy access from I-295, and they have a very helpful staff. The roads are all paved and well kept. Good water pressure and electric. The sites are very narrow and tight with concrete patios located in the wrong spot. This is an older park. There are a lot of seasonal campers and those sites are messy. Bathrooms and showers are clean and neat. We have stayed here a few times, but next time we are in this area we will look for a different park.
On of the best resorts we have ever visited. There is not a bad site in the entire park. The owners are great people and very friendly. WiFi is super fast. All sites are concrete pads and perfectly level with great water pressure. Many of the sites have large beautiful fireplaces, too. Golf cart rentals are also available. The park is built on the side of a mountain with 4 different levels/tiers with amazing views of Douglas Lake from all sites and even the pool. It's a must visit destination. It also has a boat launch and sand beach to swim in the lake. The owner has future plans to also build a convention center on the property for rallies and club events. There are a lot of interesting attractions in the area if that's what you enjoy. You will not be disappointed.
Great park; clean & friendly. If you want to use their WiFi you need to use it between the hours of 2am and 5am; other than those times, it is painfully slow or non existent. Be very careful of the decorative rocks they planted on all the corners; they will rip open the side of your coach. We would go back again, but only with our own hotspot.
