This campground has a great location in town. There are many mature trees providing shade and the staff has always been very nice. We have driven to other local campgrounds, but continue to stay here year after year.
This was our fourth year staying at this campground, and we will return next year. The staff are friendly, the campground is next to the river, and the stocked ponds are great for fishing. This campground has a lot of grassy areas, which have always been well maintained. The rate does include an extra adult charge and a discount for Good Sam.
This campground overall is well maintained. The north facing back in sites have a great view. These sites and other perimeter sites have gravel on both sides with grass behind. The pull through sites are in the middle and very standard, strip of grass between the gravel drives, with your door facing the hook ups of your neighbor, including sewer. The pool was nice with a little slide, and laundry and bathrooms clean. Cons: our pull through site was not level, pool open to public until 6 pm which makes it very busy, and hear traffic noise of interstate and trains all day and night (including train horns).
This continues to be one of our favorite campgrounds in this area. The site was grassy, and they have stocked private ponds for fishing with no need for a fishing license. They have fishing poles if you need one and clean the fish after you catch them. We went with two little girls and they were able to catch their first fish! There is a little store on site and the restrooms were very clean. This was our third year visiting and we will go again next year.
This campground has a great location, close to many sights of Cody. The pull through site we had was very standard: small strip of grass and cement patio. I think the back-up sites to the river are some of the nicer spots. Our kids enjoyed the playground.
The campground amenities were very nice. Our children enjoyed the splash pool and playground. The store was well stocked and there was free firewood. The bathrooms were very clean. Navigating to the sites is very tight because the sites aren't very long, so trucks and trailers hang out into the road a little ways. We have a fifth wheel whose total length is just under 32 feet and a long-bed truck and we didn't fit in our site. When we went to our site we had to stop and ask someone to move their truck so we could get by. Unfortunately, while we were there a motor-home scraped a parked trailer, causing damage to both. There are bushes that separate the sites, which is nice for privacy, but doesn't leave room for much more than a picnic table.
This is a nice campground within walking distance of the hot springs. Our site was level and there is grass between sites. There is a convenience store and gas on site. We would stay again if in the area.
This is a beautiful park. It is well maintained and has a nice staff. The sites are level and grassy. Be forewarned: if you leave around check-out time be prepared to wait to empty your tanks (If you opted for only water & electricity). But the wait is worth it for such a lovely park.
The staff was friendly and the pools were nice to use. Has many large shade trees and grass between sites. Bathrooms were clean, but didn't use the shower. The store was closed during our entire visit, the playground has equipment in pieces, when we arrived there was garbage left at the site next to us, and there is junk stored around the perimeter of the park: cars, trailers, etc. If we stayed here again it would be for the pools.
We rated this campground so highly because the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The spots by the river are for tents only. The location is very convenient, shopping and museums a few blocks away. The side with the majority of the back-in sites has more mature trees than the side with the majority of the pull through sites. We would stay here again.
