A mixed review. On the positive side, the setting is great. There are 4 separate sections offering a mix of open and shady sites. Sites are nicely spaced. Campground is quiet and family-oriented. We were essentially alone in our section for most of our stay. Restroom/shower cleanliness was OK. On the negative side, the campground was very difficult to find, no laundry facilities available yet (washers/dryers in boxes but not installed), hot water in women's shower was sporadic, no Wi-Fi available at the sites (only at office) and garbage was not picked up as indicated in camp rules. The pool was inside but appeared to be a round above-ground pool that was sunken into the floor. The camp store was very sparse.
The sites are nicely spaced with lots of trees and shade, features that we enjoy in a campground. The location is well off the highway so road noise is not an issue. The owners are terrific, going out of their way to help us with a temporary repair to a leaky exterior drain valve on our trailer. The small arts community of Woodstock is nearby. The only reasons we didn't rate the campground higher are fairly minor: the locations of the hookups (water and electric way at the front of the site and sewer connection at the back); rather old bathrooms/showers; and the condition of the picnic table. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a wonderful setting. Our campsite was quite spacious with plenty of trees and shade. The sites were well spaced from each other. We often felt like we were camping by ourselves in the woods. We had regular visits from elk. There were no hookups of course but water was easily accessible and there were central showers (fee) a short drive down the hill to the check-in area. The campground is only a short distance from the Canyon and the tourists but felt isolated from the crowds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed this campground very much. It is situated on a hill, has many trees and shade, and is framed by mountains. We stayed in the uppermost section and there was no road noise. There was an occasional train whistle in the distance which was quite nice to hear. Leveling was a little tricky due to the hilly area, but we managed OK. The staff offered additional blocks if we needed them. There was adequate space between the campsites, restrooms and showers were decent, and staff were friendly at check-in. We would definitely stay again.
This is a very nice park. It is easily accessible from I-40 even though there is considerable road construction underway. Our campsite was in the middle of the park and there was no road noise. There are trees throughout, park was clean overall, the restrooms and showers by the office were clean and spacious, and the laundry was decent sized. Staff were very friendly and helpful about the local area. The free breakfast is a plus. The only negative for us was the sites were fairly close together. We would definitely stay here again.
The campground is accessible to Route 40 but there was considerable highway noise. There is some spacing between the pull through site with small trees but little shade. The restrooms were very clean, the showers were decent sized, and there were even individual hand-towels at the sinks. Staff was very friendly. The benches and bench-swings in the campground would have been pleasant but were unusable as they were covered in bird droppings. The campground is OK for an overnight.
The campground is on the outskirts of the city and well off the highway. Even so, the location was very noisy due to nearby trains, an airport, and what sounded like stock car racing during the evening. The pull through sites were quite close together but there was more spacing between the back-in sites where we stayed. There is little shade. The restroom/shower building was very clean and quite spacious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. This was our second stay here and we would stay here again.
This ia a large campground with a lot of trees and a mix of pull through and back-in sites. It is near the highway but we did not notice any highway noise. The park was very clean throughout during our stay. The pool was quite nice and there was a free concert at the pool area during one of the evenings. The restrooms by the office were clean but quite small, especially the showers. But the restrooms elsewhere in the park were considerably more spacious as well as clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The Opry area as well as the rest of Nashville are easily accessible from the campground. The only downside for us was the campsites are very close together. We stayed for two nights and would stay here again.
Campground is away from the highway in a quiet setting with many shade trees. The restrooms and showers were clean and staff were friendly at check-in. The pull through site had easy access and accommodated our trailer and vehicle with room to spare. But, the pull through sites were packed fairly close together and the previous camper had left a mess at the sewer connection on our site. This was an overnight stay for us. We would stay here again.
This campground is well off the highway in a quiet rural setting along a creek. The sites were reasonably spaced in the area we stayed. Our site was pull through with a shady tree. Although our site had a large wood deck (a first for us in a campground), it proved awkward to use with our trailer. Staff were friendly but our escort positioned us incorrectly on the site, making it difficult to access the sewer connection. Restrooms and showers were good. We would stay here again.
