This is the closest campground to Mystic, CT. We came the day after they opened the park for the season so there was a lot of work going on. The two main bathrooms were under construction when we got there, and the third was under construction when we left. According to the new owner they are getting completely redone. I am not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. We thought the sites were very big compared to other campgrounds we have stayed at. They had a craft for kids on Saturday and Bingo Saturday night. We had a great time, and we would stay at this park again.
We stayed here for Labor Day Weekend 2007 (price per night probably reflects this), We really enjoyed the park they had a lot of scheduled activities. All roads were gravel most were in decent shape. Sites were big and fairly level. We would recommend this campground to others.
We had a great time here! The camp ground was immaculate and the beach access was great. We only stayed two nights, we all wished we could have stayed longer. Most sites are Huge and you can find sites with shade over in the W & U loops. They even showed a movie on Saturday at the amphitheater. Reserve you site well in advance, they fill up quick. We will be staying here again.
We camped in "the field". The sites were tight but had room to accommodate our awnings, dolly, and towed. The $70 per night rate was because it was Memorial Day weekend, and it was $210 for 3 nights. They had tons of activities for the kids and adults to do! The staff was very friendly, the park was kept clean. Some seasonal sites. We would camp here again.
We enjoyed this park, campground was very well kept. The $40 rate is for a holiday weekend. I think it is cheaper normally. We had a good time. Although there were many seasonals, the people were very friendly and we will stay here again.
